He couldn't even beat Garcia, Prescott and Peterson. He barely beat Maidana. There's no way he's beating Crawford.
You know, there's this myth that continues to persist that Khan can outbox anyone and befuddle them and it's an absolute lie. Khan has only befuddled and dominated three world champions in this manner over 12 rounds in his entire career (Collazo, Paulie and Alexander). All 3 are "boxers" with no power to trouble him. He didn't befuddle Danny, Danny looked immediately to time him/was never in over his head and indeed bounced him up and down off the mat and stopped Khan early. Whether people want to admit it or not, he went life and death with Lamont Peterson and no matter who you have winning, the fight was fought on even terms the entire time (no domination). He also went life and death with Kid Diaz in the last stages of Diaz's career (dropped and damn near lost). So again, point to this awesome dominating boxer in Khan that's going to outbox the likes of T. Crawford, that has already shown far more variety in offense/defense than Khan ever has. Crawford comes out, dominates from the start and stops Khan very early.
He got knocked out by Garcia and Prescott, not out boxed. Peterson was a very close fight that could have gone either way. Crawford chances of beating a prime khan is certintly a possibility, but to pretend that he would completely outbox khan and guaranteed to win is a fallacy. Khan would look like a Lion if he went through Crawford's resume in his prime.
No one in boxing is guaranteed to win, but it would upset the odds if Khan managed it. Khan tried running through Crawford's resume and didn't get past Prescott.
Khan did NOT out box canelo. He landed a handful of lean shots and somehow won rounds of a couple shots landed when canelo was landing at least the same # of shots that were doing far more damage. I'll give in to the unprepared judah and pre Garcia maidana. Those are great accomplishments on their own, so good for khan..
You can't seriously be comparing Khan's resume to Crawford's trash resume? The Prescott that fought Crawford as past his prime, this was 5 years after he demolished khan You're happy to dissect Khan's opponents yet happy to approve Crawford's dodgy opponents? I and many others had Khan winning the first 4 rounds comfortably out boxing Canelo and making him hit fresh air, until he found his range and got rid of Khan. Do you wish to see some video evidence?
I could see Khan giving Crawford problems in the early rounds with his handspeed and movement. But Crawford would catch him and the fight would end with Khan doing the chicken dance, then going to sleep
Same ol same ol... Khan looks ok for a 2 or three rounds until Craford puts him to sleep.. He takes a nice little nap as usual
In those days the LWW division was strong. Today it is the weakest it has ever been since the sport's conception.
His hand speed didn't seem to bother Peterson, well, the speedy back peddling was a problem but that's it. That will probably be the only issue in a fight with Crawford. It really don't take much to see how their styles will clash and Khan don't have goods. He will get destroyed and you know it.
