Does any body have an idea how much Sky were offering Khan to have his McCloskey fight on SS3, and how much Khan managed to get going PPV on Primetime? They obviously feel they'll be getting a better deal with Primetime than they would with regular SkySports. But unfortunately, they won't be benefitting from a strong promotional machine - something they'll need for a fight that's taking place at 4am.
They will have made slightly more on Primetime than the SS offer. But if a fighter is thinking long term, is it worth that extra few 10's of K to lose out on being viewed by 800,000 people and increasing your fan base... short term thinking. I think the big problem they have is that they have fallen into this mindset US fighters have where they say "I'm a PPV fighter", that is their career aim. Team Khan has decided that Khan is a PPV fighter and to be on SS is a beneath him, without looking at the financial realities. If you want the Rob Palmer style breakdown... 60,000 * £11 = 660,000. Let's say £150K in production, then half it for Khan's 50% cut... £250K in total perhaps
At least if he was on sky and loses he could re-build again. Losing on Primetime is a big risk, still i think hell beat Judah and quite comfortably in a snoozefest.

1. The Khan v Mcloskey fight had media coverage due tot he intial sky deal and then the fallout. 2. The Irish fanbase played there part. 3. That fight was not on at 4am When you say they have more time, what do you mean by that? When has primetime ever done a huge marketing and promotional push? There is no way this fight is getting 100,000 PPV buys
