cant help notice they was wearing everlast, spongey very well padded reyes the hardest hitting gloves.
Reyes and Everlast are both big punching gloves. Reyes allows you to clench your fist better but Everlast is still a powerful glove. They both have foam versions which are rubbish.
What are the general rules..... do fighters have to wear the same? I got a pair of BBE mitts for messing about in the gym with a mate and stuff, nearly broke both my wrists within ten minutes. My hands are about average sized, maybe slightly small..... god knows how someone with large hands copes with those bloody things.
Well Khan was to wear Reebok's until they were weighed and weighed in 9.5 ounces. Them BBE'S are shocking ain't they!!. I remember putting them on in gym and couldn't clinch fist and when i hit pads i couldn't feel anything and that pisses me off. I like to feel the power of a shot go up the arm. There make me feel clumsy when on pads and bag and they ruin fights IMO.
Khan was meant to wear Reebok's but they were too heavy so he changed to Everlast at the last minute.
Just not for me mate. I know a few fights who don't like em either. Same as some fighters don't like Cleto's etc. I just didn't like the fact i feared i'd damage my hand when i landed.
*noticed in heading you call him khan and not kon this first time you called him real name instead of Kon u now thinking gloves were reason he beat maidana *Apologies for this being written in ashish speak
with cleto reyes glove ur more likely to damage ur hands coz most of the the weight of the glove and padding is around the wrist. think there made of goats skin. i had a pair of adidas £80 gloves which where pretty decent. aint grant gloves the best for protecting ur hands, i noticed calzaghe and mayweather both use them
