How far would have Khan went with a solid chin?

He is lightening quick, athletic, light on his feet, decent stamina. Had some pretty decent tools in his ****nal.

Seems his chin has let him down, although he has been caught by some huge shots.

The fights he was KO'd, he was arguably winning. Garcia was being schooled until he landed and Canelo was having a tough time tracking Khan.

Could Khan have been an ATG?

Khan is only lightning quick with his hands, nothing else really.
    His head movement is C-
His lateral movement is average at best.
His footwork is horrible, sometimes it seems he forgets to move his feet the way he should.
People somehow forget to notice how horrible his defense is.
I would say with a better chin Khan is C+ best.

^ exactly. 90% of fighters (especially a natural 147lb'er moving up to 155) would have been floored by that shot.
Likewise the shots Garcia landed on him, not his chin that's so much the problem but more his non existent defence.

I agree. Even with a Eubank chin he stood no chance against that shot. Comes down to his defence & movement.

Hes better than C+ now so not sure what some people are watching.
Jumped up to many weight classes against a guy who is probably elite level. It was madness.

His defense has always been weak and his chin is poor but he got 1 timed by a hard charging decent puncher in Alvarez.

Khan with a granite chin is a mission for anyone....but he hasnt got it so hes probably 3 fights away from the end of his career unless he can grab a belt again.

He'd still have poor defense, no inside game, a low ring IQ, and an inability to follow a gameplan.

Although Khan doesn't have the best punch resistance, this is not his "chin" which makes him so vulnerable, but his defensive flaws, poor ring IQ and predictable rythm.

While he does possess good hand speed, his rhythm is very predictable for any experienced counter-puncher to time him (even Chris Algieri did), so he would be caught by any crafted counter-puncher.

He would stand no chance against Pacquiao and Mayweather, no doubt about that. I believe he would have very little chances against Errol Spence and, to a lesser extent, Keith Thurman. There are couple of other names that could possibly break him down, so no, in any case scenario, Khan wouldn't be an ATG. He is among top fighters, but there's nothing that can make him great.

I don't expect him to, but he should face Timothy Bradley or Kell Brook next. Although these would be 50/50 bouts, he might be able to make a statement in these fights.

Khan's predictability is why Garcia and Canelo were able to time him.

Garcia hit him with a hook while he was looking at the floor. It's not that he got lucky, it's that Khan is just THAT predictable.

The thing with khan is, his chin is so weak it makes many people ignore his other flaws. I mean is a girl looks like the Elephant Man, you probably not gonna notice her massive flabby asssss, missing teeth and bad breath.

All that would happen if Khan had a solid chin is we'd all see his other shortcomings more clearly, all of which have been listed in many of the excellent posts above.

Khan would still get dropped in most fights and still lose to Peterson
The fact Canelo threw that right hand from so far and it landed just shows how bad Khan's defense is
