    Dan Rafael:

The IBF announced that @GoldenBoyBoxing (for undisclosed reasons) has withdrawn its Wednesday appeal on the @kingpete26-@AmirKingKhan bout.

too little too late if theyre pulling out to save his reputation (either that or more likely the IBF told him on the sly, he wasnt gettimg a rematch, before any public announcement was made and his team thought it would save further embarrasment).

Either Khan has realised what a whiny baby he was acting like or Peterson has got the Pacquiao fight so Khan didn't bother to appeal.

    hmm wonder why...

Maybe the Peterson camp have already agreed to a rematch? Kind of like an out of court settlement?

Or maybe the IBF are covering up something and have given GBP some hush money.

    :think Could be anything.

My guess would be that because the WBA have already proposed a rematch, they already have at least one way to get Khan a title. The rematch isn't that necessary if they can continue (or get back to) Khan's progression at world level some other way.

Guessing they've already agreed a rematch or something, Khan wouldn't go to all this effort just to withdraw the appeal for nothing.

I think this will be the case. They got word that the IBF wouldn't force a rematch, and with the WBA granting him one they've got that route to go down. If Peterson has signed/on the verge of signing with Top Rank then he'll vacate or be stripped of the WBA belt, and Khan will fight for it.

Despite all the talk about him moving up to 147lbs before the Peterson fight. :huh

It may just be that because cooper and welsh weren't gonna be there, they felt there was little point.

Though I suspect it is because they have already agreed a re-match!!!
