They withdrew it because it didn't have a cat in hells chance of overturning the result. No big mystery.

I don't think that is the case. There has got to be more in it than that.

Could be the main two people weren't turning up.

Why you always gotta ruin everything with logic man? I'm getting excited about a Floyd fight and like to think something's going on.

Why has there "got to be"? People withdraw or admit to charges at the last minute all the time in Law when it becomes apparent they arn't going to win.

About as much chance as that appeal had of overturning the Khan-Peterson result.;)

I just think it would weaken his position if they did that. Not that I would put anything past his team!

My gut instinct here tells me they have agreed a fight with either Floyd or petterson,

Losing an appeal generally weakens a position more than just withdrawing it so thats what they've done.

Maybe Peterson-Khan is in the works but I hope we don't get Mayweather-Khan.

    touche!

man if he fights Mayweather, it'll be even more cringeworthy than Haye v Klitschko! or Haye V Fraudley...and even though the end result is a foregone conclusion, like a car crash, everyone on here will probably watch it too (just for the inevitable stoppage!) :yep

    I disagree.

If he sticks to his guns he is always able to question the decision.

Decisions like that don't get overturned, if they were then every close verdict or iffy reffing decision would be appealed. The most he could ever hope was the IBF and/or the WBA to order a rematch.

If he's now GOT that rematch then they might have pulled the appeal because of that but no way was it ever going to be succesful in getting the verdict changed.

I totally agree, never thought they would get the verdict changed but I could see them getting the re-match. And have already stated that that could be why they have pulled out.
