I'm sorry but Hameds and Khans careers are in no way comparable. Hamed fought, and won, at world level for a number of years. Khans just been flattened by a Top 30 lightweight.
I really couldn't care less his next fight TBH. Hope the kids alright and he' not too dissapointed but greed led to that loss.
No, he's certainly not; nobody showed Amir the script - he was supposed to get up and KO Prescott: On 8th June 1996 Prince Naseem Hamed 21-0-0 (19 KOs) faced dangerous, unbeaten but unknown puncher Daniel Alicea 15-0-0 (13 KOs). Hamed was floored in the 1st round, got up and stopped Alicea in the 2nd. On 8th September 2008 Amir Khan 18-0-0 (14 KOs) faced dangerous, unbeaten but unknown puncher Breidis Prescott 19-0-0 (17 KOs). Khan was floored in the 1st round, got up and OH ****!
Ha. Taking a leaf out of Don King's book, I'm surprised Fwank wasn't stepping over Khan's twitching body and walking across the ring to shake Prescott's hand.
Don King: The king is dead, god save the King! I feel a bit sorry for Khan. I blame Warren for putting him in with a dangerous puncher, he should have kept feeding him softer opponents. Mickey Duff fed the likes of Bruno paper bags and got him four title shots. Warren, tut tut!:?
Probably a large part of the reason Warren was indeed so pissed. Khan was in the top 5 of both the WBO and (I think) the WBA. He really was that close to a title fight and even if he'd got thrashed then, like you say Warren would push a Bruno-esque PR approach.
