So it's looks like from Khan's managers and Schaefer that Murray and Casa are the options.

All the top tier fighters have fights such as Alexander, Bradley, Maidana is supposedly injured etc.

Schaefers in the UK next week and will discuss the options.

NOTE guys, this is a stay busy fight. There's plenty of threads around here on why Amir is fighting etc etc.

July 31st looks a lock. I think the Murray showdown would be great. A lot of people were saying that Khan didn't finish up in the UK and this would be a great way to show them. It would likely sell out the MEN arena and Murray is a young hungry opponent in his prime.

So who do you guys think? Murray or Casa?

    Poll should be up

So Casa is not the definate opponent for the July bout? And when was Murray's name thrown in to contention, you got a source Laz?

I'd definately go for Murray! A UK opponent, would create plenty of hype, and Khan would look good in smashing him to pieces.

Murray, purely because I don't want to see another old fighter who was once very good fed to Khan.

I could think of 10 better fights than Murray though.

Khan has unfinished business with Prescott, that fight makes perfect sense in so many ways. Cash, legacy, reputation, the whole lot.

Khan's Manager said that Murray and Casa are the options. And that Katsidis priced himself out and asked for a million to fight Amir. I'm just finding some source from Schaefer guys. Bare with me.

A shot version of Casamayor would beat Murray. Not that anyone has actually seen any proof that he is shot.

You are naive if you believe that. Team Khan had no intention of lining up a guy like Katsidis. The way Khan's team have matched him up to now is the factor in swaying me to believing Katsidis' team's claim that no offer was made.

Katsidis is not the type of fighter Khan will be matched with unless he is forced to fight him. When Khan stops cherry picking, only then will his teams claims of possible fighters refusing fights be credible.

Who is saying that Kats isn't pricing himself out, you know just maybe just maybe they aren't full of **** here Kats has been looking for a big pay day for ages and I'm sure he thinks this could be it so he plumped up a nice price for the fight which as it turns out it is way way above what can be afforded. I'm not saying that they are telling the truth but with modern Boxing there is so much bs coming both ways you don't know what's going on unless you are directly involved in the negotiations.

    :deal

I quite like the idea of a Prescott rematch and I really cannot see him asking for too much or ducking Khan.

It's a possibility but incredibly unlikely given the way Khan's career has developed. Simple logic leads me to believe Katsidis. Katsidis would be a superstar if he beat Khan. I may be wrong, but I somehow think Kats would take that fight for a ham sandwich and a bottle of coke given the benefits of a victory would bring him.

Why would Khan fight a dangerous opponent if he can avoid it? That has been their philosophy so far, what reason have I to start believing otherwise now.

Might drum up some interest in Manchester and Bolton but that's all it would be.
Amir is just looking for an easy walk into Ramadan but after that there's no hiding place

Between the two Casamayor....only because the start of the thread has them there.

    PPV ? Forget about it..
