He's had several comebacks scheduled since his last appearance (never actually retired). The last one was about a year ago, though.

I know lol. I was excited about the Pavlik rumors a while back, but figured they'd been put to bed.

I should probably stop being so cynical about the whole thing.

Never saw this fight coming, there's going to be a lot of 40 year olds on that card. Winky has had one fight in five years and the last one was three years ago( by fight time). Winky will probably make it closer than he did with Williams but Quillen has to be a big favorite here.

There's going to be a lot of big names on this card with the fights they already have lined up. Mayweather-Cotto, Winky-Quillen, and Alvarez-Mosley but they are all looking like one-sided fights with Cotto probably being the livest of the bunch. Hopefully the last fight is a competitive match up between two young guys and no more of these faded/shot guys being fed to young contenders.

I seriously doubt that fight will happen on this undercard. Those guys make too much money to be wedged into this card.

If Winky still has something then he should win. Because i have no idea what he looks like i wont make a pick. I will be rooting for Winky.

Everybody seems to judge Winky solely off the Williams fight. I agree largely with the sentiment of everybody here, but to hold it against him for looking like **** and getting doubled up against end of prime Williams, but still a prime Williams, is slightly foolish. Blame it on him being 40+ and fighting once in five years, which is a bigger deal than how he looked against Williams in that one fight, and not that he lost a one sided decision.

^ I thought Morales had his title defense vs Danny Garcia pushed back to March, unless I'm mistaken.

eh, possible but would that potential fight be at 140 or Welter?

*obviously the Alvarez-Mosley fight will be televised on the PPV card because it's the co-feature but what about Winky-Quillin?

I' m basing it off exactly what you said.. All of those things combined... A 40 year old inactive Winky coming off his only lopsided loss in his career which was two years ago itself... But at least in that fight he was still willing to mix it up, which is a lot more than we can say for Mosley..

This is not a good comeback fight for Winky.

Paul Williams was also a stylistic nightmare for Winky, with his volume, long arms and handspeed
