Tbh I don't think Ben does have a point. It's irrelevant whether lsc has or hasn't fought for 2 year and it's also irrelevant that he lost his last fight which was up at a higher weight
As a fw he holds the wba super which is the only recognised world title by the wba. The others regular and interim are trinkets, and are not recognised by the governing bodies.

Fair argument mate. I agree its irrelevant the points around Santa Cruz, though weirdly I must admit I thought of Can Xu as a champion though thinking back he probably wasn’t. I suppose the argument Ben is making is that Xu was the champ and LSC wasn’t, which I suppose isnt the case regardless of him losing at another weight.

 

Ben knew Xu ain't the No1 champ with wba but he was supporting his fighter. When he was challengerd by the fact that ben holds josh taylor as the wba champ in a circumstance pretty much the same.
Ben had a card to play in the fact that lsc had fought gervonta at a higher weight and lost and hadn't been active for a couple of yrs as a 126er.
However it is just smoke n mirrors from Ben and he knows it but
1.there was no need imo for kid to bring all this up in the manner he did, especially considering he's a friend of Leigh woods
2. He's sticking up for his fighter
