Kid Gavilan v Pernell Whitaker

ss, you conveyed in a few words what i was trying to say. Beau jack , though not as good as Ike Williams overall was sty led better to beat a Pernell Whitaker than Ike Williams,though Ike had Beau Jack's number.
Beau Jack was a human dynamo,throwing every punch in the book, and never tiring when he was in his prime. He sold out MSG 7 times in one year.
That being said, he was no Kid Gavilan,who lasted much longer as a Welterweight. Styles make fights and Gavilan, bigger and stronger than
Whitaker, and a voluminous puncher, would have prevailed over the
gifted Pernell.:good
