About ****ing time I have him in the stars of the future limited fighter but with his pressure and punch not too many will be able to trade with him. Like Slip says he really has been falling in love with his power he looked a bit reckless in the Julio fight if i remember.

 

He's gonna be fun to watch, no doubt about it. I like his Tyson-esque 'I don't give a f%ck about your work, i'm gonna walk you down' mentality. But damn it's not a crime to D it up a bit.

 

Some fighters are just not made for D, slip. Man it must be painful for you watching some guys fight :yep

 

Oh, don't get me wrong i'm partial to a good war and i like fighters who attempt to walk opponents down.

I just think we have too many what i call 'anti-science' fighters in the game, and guys who have that 'stalking' mentality but not the attributes to make it work.

Btw someone on here once said to me, why are you racist against brawlers?

 

I've watched this guy fight and of all the people that are being hyped and are on their way up he is the most overrated. A terrible boxer. He fights as if he's in a bar, has anyone taught him how to box at all?

That video sums up James...but hey the lad comes to fight and that's why i like him. He actually has skills but has flung them away. Not every fighter can be a beautiful boxers or textbook. He needs to refine i must say..he has a crude nature that sadly i doubt he will lose but if he does actually change trainer and refines his style a bit he could hold a strap at 154lbs. He's far from ****...but far from great...but he's bloody exciting.

 

Exciting, but no responsible trainer would tolerate that level of crudeness. He doesn't even punch with proper leverage and he's meant to have power. When he comes up against someone who can take advantage of his reckless agression he will be destroyed.

 

Kirkland reminds me of Lemieux of the middle weight division. Both come forward ONLY and carry a bit of power which lets them away with a lot of things at a certain level , but i would wait before you crown the the future of 154lbs, 160lbs respectively.

I see why fans are nuts about them but i can see trouble for them both at the highest level.

 

I agree, but end of the day every man has the right to fight the way they want and if James wants to fight like that then that's up to him. I feel Ann's created a monster that is not unbeatable and also actually underselling himself. I really think James has skills, I watched a video a while back and the guy said in the amateurs he was a classy southpaw, James even agreed..but he's gone pro and gone in different direction. I actually believe he can win a world title...but it's about his opponent...because at the top end he will get exposed fighting like the way he has.

 

Lemieux is pretty different imo, i get what you mean he comes forward etc, But he's a think who picks his shots beautifully recently and also seems to have a gameplan. I really rate David, his downfall may be his small shotgun arms but he's got explosive power and is well schooled. James fights like he's bred to bang and he's not...but for whatever reason has decided to chuck the skills and swing for the fences instead.
