    As far as the "I'm a weird eccentric female singer/songwriters" goes Kate Bush is only one with stuff I can really enjoy. Her voice can wear on my nerves after a while though... Really enjoy some of the proggy melodies she came up with though.

    Lady Gaga is a genius. You should give a real chance, listen to all of Artpop and Born This Way she's the Quentin Tarantino of Pop Music.


    I just look her Astrological chart up the other day and....

    She's an Aries Sun, Scorpio Moon and Virgo Ascendant.
    I'm an Aries Sun, Virgo Moon and a Scorpio Ascendant, maybe that explains why I get her so well.:patsch:lol: Which would seem out of character for a metalhead like me.

    I don't really like her, but I recognize she has a lot more talent than most pop stars(especially today) and some solid vocal chops. not really all that uncommon for some metalheads to like her. Some of my friends do, and Kirk Windstein from Crowbar has gone on record that he's a big fan.

    Weird metal connections:

    Zakk Wylde, Glenn Benton & Kerry King all support RAINN because of their friendship with Tori Amos (Wylde & King have done guitar solos at Amos concerts)

    Lars Ulrich played the drums on a couple NAS songs

    Scott Ian is good friends with Michael Stipes (R.E.M.)

    Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth) is good friends with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre (NWA fame)

    I just checked Kirk Windstein is an Aries with a ton of Virgo in his chart.:lol:

    She's brilliant, but is an acquired taste, especially for mostly macho guys like us.

    That's mostly because a lot of the big producers/record executives of of the time were forcing metal bands to collaborate with rappers. Resulting in some terrible music, and eventually led to the abominations known as Nu metal/rap rock. But it's cool that some of these guys are friends.

    Kirk Windstein also did a cover version of Justin Beiber's "Baby" at a metal show last year, with Pepper Keenan, Charlie Benante Vinnie Paul and Billy Milano...!!!

    People don't realize how enlightened us knuckle dragging metalheads are, I remember back in the 90's when Rob Halford came out of the closet and MTV News Kurt Loder at the time, was asking, "how will the Metal community react" "will they turn their back on him" and none of us batted an eye, and basically collectively said, yeah we always knew he was gay, and we don't care.:deal

    Was never a fan of Crowbar tbh. Always like Acid Bath a lot more than the other big Sludge acts.

    Actually Zakk's wife Babara had a family member that was s*xually assaulted and Tori Amos reached out to her through Kerry King (Amos did a cover of Raining Blood), and they all became friends that way...!!!

    I hate NuMetal......Limp Bizkit, Avenged Sevenfold, etc all suck...!!!
