I've always wanted to talk to people about gathering into some sort of boxing gambling think tank sort of deal, cumulatively you can't deny multiple sharp minds are better than one. There's money to be made, big upsets happen on a nearly weekly basis. If I had better self control I'd be a well enough off person myself from betting, none the less if there were a group of eyes scouting and assisting. It would allow more research to be consumed. Whether it's reading through interviews, articles and misc material for little bits of important information or watching more tape. Also, fights at with fresh eyes from different perspectives. Then you have posters that are more familiar with lower weight fighters, or, say, foreign boxing. It's a lot of things. Lol, did I just make the proposition I've been flirting with for years? Durrrrrr
Its a good idea.... this thread is perfect for it. Get a roundtable of good boxing minds to help see whats the best upcoming bets.
Ya Im thinking at the least, Thurman should get the W, stoppage or not. But ive been doubting my pick once ive decided to bet on him lol. Now I see Garcia landing a lucky hook that shocks the world lol.
Thanks. Well, I wouldn't want to do it in this thread... This thread already has a purpose, and if you're going to really discuss the particulars of something in-depth you don't want to do it in the middle of someone elses project, you know. I think somewhere around 5 people would be needed and all would have to put in some "leg work" if it was going to be successful. Any general thoughts or ideas?
Felix Jr UD, Williams Jr KO, Peterson UD, Broner UD, Campa KO, Bivol KO, Pearson KO, Alvarez UD, Rodriguez UD, Guerfi UD, Campbell KO, Vargas UD, Hurd KO, Ugonoh UD, Wilder KO, Fukuhara UD. Note that the Guerfi-Jamoye fight has been taken off boxrec now, not sure what has happened.
Sounds awesome man.... you should keep floating the idea out here or pm people n see if theyre interested. The thing with me is, my only option to bet is physically traveling to vegas to place the bet myself, so I have to bet enough to where my winnings also cover my traveling expenses..... and they probably only offer the mainstream fights, and out of those fights, few are going to be sure enough picks for me to actually put big money on, as I am probably way more safety first than most betters. So the fights that I will be able or willing to bet on will be few and far between throughout the year. Whereas people betting online have monthly options available. Im still down to help out, for sure. Just for me I dont have the betting opportunities most people on here do.
He's big come fight night... Hate seeing him dwarf his opposition in there at times. He's built like a **** brick house and cuts a ton of weight. Reminds me of similarly explosive/bullish Felix Diax, whom Granados already fought... Though I think Diaz is a better fighter than Broner at this point.
