Yeah these Academy Awards were fueled by political and social agenda more than anything else though, complete joke. Only a limp wrist estrogen fueled SJW, gay male, or a woman would prefer a lame musical to a movie like Hacksaw ridge.
I never thought The Oscars were fair at all anyways or even sane in any way, like how the bloody **** did SHakesphere in Love beat SAVING PRIVATE RYAN OR Life is beautiful. LIke what the **** was that.
That being said, Moonlight actually won best picture - now that was NOT expected. Best director usually means his/her picture wins as well. That did not happen. holy ****.
HAHA HOLY **** THEY STEVE HARVEY'D THIS. THE ENTIRE CAST/DIRECTOR/EVERYONE BEHIND THE SCENES RESPONSIBLE FOR LA LA LAND ALL THOUGHT THEY WON, THEY WERE GIVING THIS SPEECH THEN THEY WERE TOLD MOONLIGHT WON AND THEY ALL LEFT THE STAGE HAHAHA HOLY JESUS **** LMFAO. JESUS H CHRIST, MY ****ING SIDES!!! AN EPIC STEVE HARVEY MOMENT
That disgusted me. Won't be surprised if this was done on purpose, basically sacrificing all the people associated with La La Land, to make the Oscars a bigger spectacle than it actually is. Hopefully that isn't the case but still, how does that even happen? Pathetic.
It's kind of sketchy, I think I agree with you, they gave the readers the wrong card.... cuz their explanation makes no sense. Why would Emma Stone's name be on the card?!
At least Casey Affleck won, which made me happy, they robbed Mel and Hacksaw Ridge as expected, the rest of the show was pure garbage. What a shock a movie that's sole purpose is to kiss the ass of Hollywood got its ass kissed by Hollywood, as someone who's actually seen his fair share of musicals it sickens me that basically all you have to do is just make a musical and it reflexively gets nominated because its a musical, most of the musicals of the 50's and 60's are actually a joy to watch every new attempt at one in the last 15 years is dreck, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, and specifically Nine were all piles of ****. Meet Me In St Louis, The Sound Of Music or The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg etc. put all of them to shame. Nine was a disgraceful insult to the memory of Fellini, one of the most brilliant minds to ever sit in a director's chair. I haven't seen Moonlight, so I can't comment, but just by the looks of the trailer, it doesn't look very appealing to me. And I doubt it would have even been noticed if it weren't for the subject matter, which of course always appeals to the PC crowd in La La Land.
Man Casey Affleck's character was freakin awesome !! He really deserved it and the movie is way better in my eyes than La La Land ... the end of La La Land is kinda : "well **** it let's cut to this point we developed everything slowly now let's skip five years from their lives" But for sure it's more about politics than talents. The feminist side of the society got an oscar, the black society got an oscar, the american dream got an oscar.

I just watched him in some new TV show on Fox (at least I think the TV was still on Fox) after the Wilder fight, I can't believe it! First time I ever seen him in the movie Streets of Fire (a classic to me) I have been a fan ever since. His line from Weird Science is still used in TV and everyday life today "How about, a nice, greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?" First I've seen of this...Sad news indeed.
First I've heard of this as well, along with The People's Judge...The GOT actors character had already been killed off of the series last season, he played the giant that stormed Winterfell with Jon Snow. But that is sad news, even if I wasn't familar with any of his other work.
