I picked Zambrano because I think Zambrano is the better boxer of the two, and Marrero's power is vastly overrated.
I don't think I've ever seen Zombrano fight; I am planning on watching a clip of him either today or tomorrow. I made my pick based on a quick glance at their resumes. and actually I've been feeling uneasy about this fight before they postponed it twice. I think there was a discussion on it, in kirk's league, a month ago.
I didnt take a look at the odds for this fight but now that youve pointed that out its why I am switching. Thanks for the heads up DD.
Anyone know anything about Quigg's opponent, Vioerel Simeon? I know he lost to Selby a few years ago. You can get the under at good odds and Quigg seems to of developed some real power and good timing the past few years. That Mexican guy he just knocked out had an insane chin, but Quigg kept trying and finally got him out of there. Same guy had never been stopped and had gone the distance with the likes of Leo Santa Cruz. Also, anyone else have the feeling Luke Campbell might chop Darleys Perez down via bodywork? I don't think Campbell is an absolute top tier talent, but looking at Perez folding from body shots the second match against fellow not-quite-world-class Anthony Crolla makes me think the fight might go that way. Campbell, if nothing else, is a killer body puncher.
The Wlad AJ fight is doing my head in to be honest. Its one of those fights I simply wont be confident in my pick either way. I could see either one ko'ing the other early, mid, or late.... could see either one getting a controversial decision or a deserved decision. I honestly think all scenarios are realistic in this one. Damnit. Just when I think Im going to pick Joshua, I rewatch him and I think to myself, hes really not that good.... hes progressing, but will it be enough? Then I watch Wlad fight and I think.... ya, I think it will be enough. Then I watch AJ fight again and I say.... but.... hes really not that that good yet. Plus a big lack of xp. Add that I do think he is intimidated for this fight, and its an astronomical step up in competition. I cant wait for this fight. I like both these guys it will suck to see one of them lose.... not rooting for either in this one just may the best man win and I cant wait. I just hope it ends by KO and not some ugly, boring, controversial decision. That all being said..... I will go with.... AJ KO 6
