    Avalos landed two hard shots just prior and their heads barely grazed... Even then the ref has to make the call in the heat of the moment, this has nothing on Williams/Smith which was either blatant corruption or stupidity from Terry O'Conner.. I'm going with the former. Flores also tried milking an easy TD win when the going got tough, that was pretty lame. Hard to feel bad for him.

    Look I have no problem being a shameless shill pushing an unpopular agenda, usually with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek, and by defending what happened last night with Avalos and Flores it might look like I'm doing just that, but I'm being sincere here.

    Yeah Flores was winning on the scorecards, and yes the cut might have been brought on by a grazing headclash, although that's not definitive, because there was a punch right after it, the fact is, an argument could be made that Avalos won at least 2 of rounds, aside from the round Avalos was dropped in most of the rounds were 55-45 Flores, it was by no means a blowout, Chris was competitive in most of them, he hurt Flores badly one time and Flores was starting to mentally wilt under the pressure, his body language was starting to look like a fighter that didn't want to be in there, he was having flashbacks of the Nguyen stoppage, and its not out of the question that that could have occurred, things were going downhill for him and he was looking for a way out. So I feel decidedly less guilt about how this match turned out than I usually would.
