Tempted to pick Love over Quillin for the upset because Quillin has looked awful recently, but it's in Quillin's hometown ... hmmmm

Love it, but is Bladerunner 2042 the movie where Harrison Ford helps Jackie Robinson track down skinjobs while overcoming racial prejudice to win the pennant?

    Lemme see...
    2017
    1. Logan - Agreed, my favorite so far.
    2. Blade Runner 2049 - Bit overrated but solid.
    3. The Shape Of Water - Bit overrated but interesting for a movie with fish sex.
    4. The Disaster Artist - I have no interest in this film or the one it was based on.
    5. Wonder Woman - Total crap.
    6. Coco - I hear great things.
    7. It - Watched the first half, not as good as the first movie.
    8. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - You know, I liked this one.
    9. The Beguiled - Uhh, Sophia Coppola, pass.
    10. Call Me By Your Name - Movie about an older man preying upon a child for gay sex viewed as "romance"? Pass.

    2016
    1. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children - Didn't see it. Kind of reminds me of that Harry Potter garbage I managed to avoid for years.
    2. The Neon Demon - Hear it's style over substance.
    3. Knight Of Cups - Not very highly rated.
    4. The Nice Guys - Decent buddy cop film, but I was a little annoyed by how pithy and worldly the daughter was.
    5. Passengers - I don't think I want to see anything Chris Pratt related besides Guardians of the Galaxy.
    6. The Jungle Book - That **** looks fake. I'll take the Disney Classic please.
    7. The Shallows - Isn't this the plot of Cujo but with water?
    8. Rogue One - God I hated this one, except for the twenty seconds with Vader.
    9. Hacksaw Ridge - The battle scenes were technically excellent even though they don't stay with you. The idea was a good one. But I thought all of the characters besides Vince Vaughn sucked and how many times is Hugo Weaving going to give the same performance?
    10. Blood Father - Looked derivative and like a lot of what Gibson's been doing since his he got put in movie jail (Edge of Darkness, Get the Gringo).

    2015
    1. The Hateful Eight - Flawed but good.
    2. Krampus - I really ought to see this.
    3. Crimson Peak - Reviews made this sound bad so I skipped it. I watched his vampire tv series instead.
    4. The Town That Dreaded Sundown - Isn't this just a slasher?
    5. Mad Max: Fury Road - Great movie.
    6. Chappie - Isn't this like a remake of Short Circuit?
    7. Fifty Shades Of Grey - I hear the novel is trash. I'll wait for the Gilbert Gottfried audiobook.
    8. Carol - Chick flick.
    9. San Andreas - Mindless disaster movie.
    10. Cinderella - I kind of feel like the definitive version was already made by Disney decades ago.

    2014
    1. Interstellar - The Astronaut in the Bookcase, terribly stupid film.
    2. Horns - Like Krampus, didn't see.
    3. Under The Skin - Another one of those style over substance picks.
    4. Birdman - Liked this one.
    5. Guardians Of The Galaxy - Liked.
    6. Maleficent - Is it anything like Wicked?
    7. X-Men Days Of Future Past - Not a bad super hero movie, even if it violates it's own rules by sending Xavier back into the past when they already said only Wolverine could go back.
    8. The Expendables 3 - 2 sucked so I didn't see 3.
    9. Ex Machina - This was good.
    10. The Purge: Anarchy - Not a horror guy.

    2013
    1. Spring Breakers - didn't see it
    2. Only Lovers Left Alive - on my list of films to see
    3. Rush - on my list
    4. The Wolf Of Wall Street - Couldn't watch it. I didn't like the idea of glamorizing a figure everyone should hate. ( I know that's exactly what Scorsese did with Goodfellas and it's one of the best films ever, but I gave this ten or so minutes and it wasn't Goodfellas.)
    5. Parker - Don't think I even heard of this one.
    6. August; Osage County - Won a Tony for best play. I watched a few minutes of it. It started slow. Looks good but I guess it takes a while to get going.
    7. This Is The End - Danny McBride was awesome in this.
    8. The Wolverine - Terrible movie.
    9. Before Midnight - Hear it's great.
    10. The Iceman - The Ray Liota thing about the hitman? It can't possibly be as good as the HBO doc where they interviewed the real guy.

    2012
    1. Killer Joe - Not gonna' lie. this looks badass.
    2. Django Unchained - Great film.
    3. Seven Psychopaths - didn't see it.
    4. Dredd - Raid was the same thing but way better. Still, not bad.
    5. Byzantium - Hmm, looks interesting.
    6. The Fitzgerald Family Christmas - hadn't even heard of it
    7. Moonrise Kingdom - on my list
    8. Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World
    9. The Dark Knight Rises - the weak link in Nolan's trilogy.
    10. The Awakening - eh

    2011
    1. The Tree Of Life - loved it
    2. Melancholia - couldn't get past the initial limo scene
    3. The Skin I Live In - I thought this was ****ed and it made me hate Almodovar.
    4. Midnight In Paris - Not really a Woody Allen guy.
    5. Drive - overrated, more style than substance, but nice elevator scene
    6. Paul - hadn't heard of it
    7. Scream 4 - I didn't know there was a fourth one.
    8. The Descendants - on my list
    9. Young Adult - Patton Oswalt kind of gets on my nerves.
    10. War Horse - This was awful.
    2010
    1. Black Swan - style over substance, bored me, didn't finish
    2. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - Stone's been off his game a long time, and how good could a sequel thirty years later be?
    3. Piranha - ?
    4. Get Him To The Greek - It was watchable and that's about all.
    5. Kick Ass - I liked this.
    6. How Do You Know - a chick flick?
    7. Welcome To The Riley's - Is that Gandalfini?
    8. Monsters - This bored me.
    9. Alice In Winderland - There was already a perfectly good Alice film by Disney.
    10. Inception - loved it.

    2009
    1. Away We Go - huh, doesn't move the needle
    2. Bad Lieutenant Port Of Call New Oreans - terribly underrated and underseen movie. "You stay! You watch me **** your girlfriend!" "Shoot him again his soul is still dancing."
    3. Avatar - dumb dances with smurfs Ferngully bull****
    4. The Lovely Bones - didn't this bomb?
    5. Inglourious Basterds - a real disappointment considering it's Tarantino and the premise.
    6. Watchmen - liked it a lot. Thought it cut out the boring bits of the book and made it better. Probably the only good thing Zack Snyder's ever done.
    7. Last House On The Left - didn't see it, but I loved The Virgin Spring
    8. Knowing - that was one of the worst films ever
    9. Big Fan - another Patton Oswalt film?
    10. Up In The Air - it's a kids movie, but at least it's Pixar
    2008
    1. Gran Torino - S'alright.
    2. In Bruges - Very good.
    3. The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - good
    4. Rachel Getting Married - another chick flick?
    5. Let The Right One In - this the original or the remake? The original was alright.
    6. The Duchess - didn't see it
    7. Brideshead Revisited - why would they do that? The 80s mini series was one of the best television ever.
    8. Trick R' Treat - I've heard good things from horror lovers.
    9. Midnight Meat Train - not into slashers
    10. Rambo 4 - a good return to form for the Rambo franchise
