Certainly beats watching the god awful crap that's come out recently. The good stuff anyways. Far more fleshed out and with actual direction than the directionaless soaps that Disney have turned out. I'll make it easy for you then... Favorite comics and graphic novels.

When I have nothing new that's worth watching, I just watch something I haven't seen yet, there are a few old movies I haven't seen.

As far as my favorite comics go...

The Punisher, Swamp Thing, Ghost Rider, Lobo, X-Men, Batman, Namor The Submariner, Roachmill, Watchmen, Marshall Law, Judge Dredd to name a few.

Ok. So you don't like any of the Star Wars comics? That's what I meant.

Those were some of the first books I read as a kid. In the third grade I got the novelization and the screenplay of A New Hope. I read everything Star Wars or Star Trek for about ten years, bit over a hundred books in all at that time. The best was Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy. Although I was a big fan of this Han Solo trilogy (Brian Daley's?) where the space opera is treated as an old western with Solo as a sort of gunfighter, and the X-Wing Rogue Squadron books of Michael Stackpole. Forgot about Splinter of the Mind's Eye. I even read those Young Jedi books about Han and Leia's kids. Kevin J Anderson's Jedi Academy trilogy was good. I stopped reading them all about 1998 when I got into more serious literature. That was about the time they came out with those wack prequels and all the good stories from the novels were declared out of canon.

BTW Zahn won a Hugo so he definitely can write.

If you meant Star Wars comics, I read the first 25 of the Darth Vader series when it came out, because it was supposed to be the best of them; but it was only alright.

Really hard to say. I loved ROTS and Darth Plageuis. The Bane trilogy was amazing and I couldn't put it down.

The original Thrawn trilogy has been retconned now so never read that, but the new Thrawn books are very good. The aftermath trilogy is incredible as well.

Currently reading dawn of the jedi, not a huge fan of that one. Didn't really enjoy the old republic series either.

Gun to head I'm going with Plagueis.

Yeah Zahns Thawn trilogy is definitely the best and hes still writing the better stuff some 20 years later..... There's some pretty terrible stuff like Red Harvest which is clearly catering to the brain dead(pardon the pun) zombie revival of the late 2000s/early 2010s.
