I agree with you. Only the recent few exceptions of Brook beating Porter and Degale v Dirrell. I do quite a bit of gambling on boxing, when I bet big I nearly always back the home base boxers if the fight might be close. When I bet small I can go with the away boxer or a draw. Fonfara v Cleverly with recent form I went big on fonfara to win as fonfara had the better form going into the fight, went 12 with stevenson and home base more or less. Couldn't see cleverly knocking him out and unlikely to get a decision away. So my next big stake will be on Abraham to beat Murray next month. Murray aint knocking out abraham and he is unlikey to get a decision in germany unless he totally dominate for 12 rounds. A safety net bet on a draw to cover just in case. You're probably right about Abraham vs Murray, although it'd not surprise me if Murray wins 7 rounds and get a split draw kind of decision. That might be a good fight to try the draw.
That is the reason I cover my big bet with a draw just in case something like that or an accidental head clash in the first 3 rounds etc. I still dont see murray getting the draw even he clearly wins 7 rounds. I think a good draw bet is on cotto v alvarez and bute v degale. I already have £20 on each for a draw at 25/1.
You're both right Murray-Abraham has draw written all over it, however I do believe Murray is better than Smith, and will actually believe in himself to actually try to win this one and not just survive. So a Murray SD wouldn't shock me either.

I have a suggestion for a new rule. There should be an asterisk option for some matches and player can be entitled 3 a month and when they play their asterisks they run out until the next month. If its a fight that may have controversial scores and the guy they pick might have a hard time winning for what ever reason, they could pick him with an * and if he loses controversially, the player gets a pass and doesn't take a loss, but not a win either. It will be registered like a missed pick. He gets the pass as long as 3 members agree it was controversial. Just a thought.
Don't think this will work and only complicate things. Everywhere where boxing predictions are made the same rules apply, so they and we get a lot of predictions wrong that actually were right if boxing officials were on the level.
