I've just started a thread in the classic compiling Ray Leonard's career together gathering all the videos I could on youtube together. I aim to put articles with each fight eventually but 1 step at a time. The last I heard is Mayol team had pulled the plug on the fight because Marquez came in over the limit four times. Don't think they attempted a fifth and looks like it is off.
Most likely not, the guy should be stripped but his "lose 2 lbs magic act" tricked the incompetent WBA officials.

It was actually ruled that he made 112 in his 4th attempt which is why Mayol's camp was complaining since Marquez apparently used every trick in the book to lose 2 lbs without doing anything, including hanging his foot on the air, holding the scale, and having his crew cover him from the officials. :bart

Thats funny I heard Marquez came in a little late with like 30 Of his entourage and Mayol and team where intimidated and duing the weigh in. The fight is still showing on boxrec.
He should have stood on his head for 10 minutes then on the scales lean his head left while holing one foot slightly off the scale. :yep it works but not 2 lbs.
