"Brandon Rios wins split decision" "Imperfect Victory" "...Brandon Rios' lackluster win..." "Rios struggles, but wins" "Abril forces Rios to struggle" "Brandon Rios wins controversial decision" "Brandon Rios wins close split decision" Steve Kim says something along the lines of "Abril with his style, he deserved to lose" something like that it's on a twitter and somebody posted it in the RBR. I mentioned this in the RBR, but mainstream writers not having the balls to call it like it is one of the many, many reasons why boxing is just so screwed up. The only boxing writer to call it like it is, is Scott from Bad Left Hook. He pulled no punches, called it like it was. The only one. He didn't sugarcoat it and say "Well, it was close." "It was a bit controversial" None of that. He saw it how all of us fans saw it....excluding the ones, who didn't see the fight, but rather Brandon Rios' balls. Such a damn shame that the mainstream writers lack balls to call it like it is. From, the scene to ESPN, to Ring, to Yahoo boxing. **** them.
Rios after the fight - (from fightnews) I tried to give it my best. It was a very close fight. I give all the credit to Richard Abril but he did not come to fight, former world champion Brandon Rios said following his controversial split decision win Saturday night in Las Vegas. Abril was a no-show at the post-fight presser, so Rios had the media all to himself. He did hit me good but like I said he did not come to fight Rios repeated. Its not my job to criticize the referee but Abril was holding a lot throughout the fight there is nothing I can do about that. We had a feeling he was going to hold a lot after watching tape on him. I did get frustrated. He would hold me like if he was trying to break my arm and I even told the referee, Rios told Fightnews.com later. A win is a win to me. I love it. I think I could of done better. I killed myself trying to make 135. After failing to make weight for the second consecutive fight Bam Bam, will almost certainly move up to super lightweight and a possible July showdown against WBO interim jr welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. I would love that fight with Marquez, Rios told Fightnews.com. Dont get me wrong. Marquez is a legend but I will give the fans what they want in that fight but life goes on and I am ready for the next thing.
deal Jordan, that is actually quite amazing  To win the tournament two times in a row, the second with 16 participants, is simply incredible. I apologize to all the participants that I wasnt able to capture it the way I did the first one, I simply dont have the time at the moment.... I will still make the poster for it showing the outcome and who defeated who and whatnot. Big thanks to Malden for keeping track of this for me, wouldnt have been possible without you man :good
I had these rounds in the forum over the years with a large number of posters stubbornly insisting their writers are unbiased, then I just gave up the fight, and after Pac-Marquez 3, I gave up most of my boxing. Promoters, politics, passports, it just doesn't worth it, you can't get proper fight action without something depressing, and it's sucks. :-(
Hey gang, (mainly PinoyProdigy), starting next month we will put a cap on our fights at 35 per month. I know that might be unpopular, but I want to do that and see how it goes. If it seems we are just missing too many -cant miss- fights, Ill change it back. But I want to try giving a cap to them.

oh and deal :nod :respect to Scott for speaking out... Didn't Brian Kenney as well, during his on air call? I drank a lot of beer last night, but definitely have a recollection of him being audibly disgusted and commenting how it was wrong.
