Marco Antonio Rubio beat Jorge Cota by TKO7, reportedly beating the god damn bejezus out of him...busting him up with power shots and opening a cut early, dropping him with a liver shot in the 6th, and ultimately out with a combo to the jaw during a long unanswered assault. :smoke

Based on this performance, and Powell's last performance versus Rosado, I have to wonder if Powell really was jobbed. With what Spinks offered I don't see how he beats anybody with what he showed. That was just goddamn awful. Definitely one of the worst title fights in recent memory. Up there with the likes of Magee-Barbosa. Just bloody awful.
I say we all chip in a retirement fund. Pay RJJ and Spinks to never fight again. This isn't the early 2000's anymore.

Nah, K-9 stil has his, uh, belt, and plus he's got some fight left. He's still a solid contender. I blame K-9 as well for it being such a bad fight. That's why in one of my posts up there that the fight was one of the worst title fights in recent memory. Both guys are to blame.
