Kirk, I think you got my record wrong. I went 5-0 last week, I think I should be 65-21.

Yeah, uh, sorry to say Kirk, because I don't like to be disagreeable but I think you got my record wrong too. I'm 25-0 with 25 knockouts, thanks. :thumbsup

Beka Sadjaia vs. Rene Mahling- Rene Mahling by KO
Koki Kameda vs. Daniel Diaz- Koki Kameda by UD
Sebastian Sylvester vs Daniel Geale- Daniel Geale by KO
Masao Nakamura vs. Ronald Pontillas- Masao Nakamura by KO
Abraham Rodriguez vs. Argel Salinas- Abraham Rodriguez by UD
Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley- Manny Pacquiao by KO
Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. vs. Jorge Arce- Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. by KO
Mike Alvarado vs. Ray Narh- Mike Alvarado by KO
Kelly Pavlik vs. Alfonso Lopez- Kelly Pavlik by KO

Very quick, sweet, short and to the point breakdowns this week: Starting off the two obscure fights- Shot in the dark pick, I've Mahling by KO. Never seen or heard of him,or even his opponent........Same with the Rodriguez-Salinas rematch. Just taking Rodriguez by UD is just a shot in the dark pick. Very obscure fights that even I have never heard of them.....Nakamura is a highly touted, exciting prospect. His KO percentage is legit he has wicked power. Very exciting and he has taken nice big steps early on in his career. I look for him to notch another win and another KO.

Now, the meat and potatoes of the weekend. Starting with Pavlik-Lopez. Lopez is undefeated, but doesn't have any scalps, and just a couple of decent wins and saying decent is pushing it. Lopez throws wide, sloppy punches. Pavlik should have an easy time with him if he is even 25% of what he used to be. I've got Pavlik by whenever he wants to win. I would guess a midround stoppage.

Alvarado-Narh could be a decent scrap just because there is a lot on the line for both fighters. A loss and boom both fighters are pretty much done. Both have glossy records, but neither of them have any stepup wins over contenders or journeymen or anything like that. I'll take Alvarado by KO, no real confidence in that pick because this is pretty much a toss up fight. As I don't think highly of both fighters as they have weak resumes as I mentioned, but I fancy Alvarado because I think he has the higher skill set.

WV2-Arce is interesting because of the way the year has played out. Mexicans have been dominating this year, and a lot of upsets have happened. Arce is Mexican and is definitely capable of pulling off an upset. Arce is 4-0-1 since losing to Nonggayi and since moving up to 122 3-0-1. So, he has been winning, but with all that said I'm not fancing his chances against WV2. Vazquez has nice boxing ability, good power, and is naturally the bigger man. I see Vazquez dominating in this fight. May'be it goes the distance or the corner stops it.

Jumping over to Japan Koki Kameda is back and will do Super Bowl numbers yet again, this time against Daniel Diaz. Daniel Diaz has fought one good opponent in Alvaro Perez and got beat in a 10 round UD. And this will be the first time Diaz goes 12 rounds. Kameda has speed, solid power, good boxing skills, pretty much better attributes in almost every area than Diaz, but stylewise this could be a bit dangerous for Kameda. Diaz is a very big dude for 118. So, that could potential cause Kameda some problems, but I don't think that would cause him to lose the fight when he has all the attributes, fighting at home, experience, etc. So, Kameda by pretty wide 12 round UD.

The big hyped up mega fight and I'm trying to get excited and I like all the promotion that boxing is getting and does deserve 24/7, but I am having a real hard time in getting excited for Pacquiao-Mosley. We all know the resumes and backgrounds of both fighters so let's just jump right it in. Mosley just looks really old in the FC 360's. He just looks really old, and seems to slur every now and again. And then Pacquiao is Pacquiao, he hasn't shown signs of slowing down. This fight will more than likely be a wipeout and I've got Pacquiao just beating up Mosley and stopping him in the 8th round. Mosley has the best trainer....easily the best trainer in the game in Brother Nazim. He has is a master trainer and strategist, but that's all Mosley has going for him, well that and his power, but landing one shot isn't going to cut. Mosley lands one, Pacquiao lands 8 unanswered punches right back. So, I've got Pacquiao stopping Mosley and I'll guess that it'll be in the 8th. Somewhere in that neighborhood rounds 7-9.

Now, this is the fight that excites me this weekend. Sylvester-Geale, in Germany. I would probably favor Geale just slightly if it were anywhere else, but In Germany this fight is a tossup. I like Geale a lot. He has nice skills, he's got nice slikness about him. Defense is good, he goes to basic gloves up D, and goes to the philly shell. A lotta different looks he gives. He can box on the outside, he can fight on the inside. A lotta versatility Geale has. Great footwork, he works angles really well on the inside again I really like Geale. Sylvester on the other hand, what you see is what you get. Hands up, doesn't throw much, and usually sticks a nice jab out there every once in awhile. Damn, this fight being in Germany. Ugh, you know what screw politics. I will just pick the better fighter, Daniel Geale, and whatever happens happens. He may get robbed, but screw it I'm picking the better fighter. Geale by stoppage. War Geale!
