I couldn't post at the time due to my banishment and I owe this one bigtime:

    Rest in Piece Nick Charles!

What a great character of boxing, a warrior during this terrible disease, and a superb human being overall, condolences to his family and friends, the Community lost a very valuable member. He was 64 years young with many more excellent commentating years left in him, but he also gave us so many memories to remember.

Thank you Nick, we'll miss you!

Robney would you be up for extending our avatar bet to the rest of the forum? What I mean by that is like for previous big fights people pick Wlad or Haye and the winning team have to make the losers wear an avatar of their choice. Of course you will still be getting a special avatar made for you when Haye wins.

I will have 'The Gist' section up again for this fight.... so for anyone who does want to give a break down for the fight, the slot will be there :good

Also, and I will put this as a bigger reminder, there will be an extra bonus for getting right what round the fight is stopped in.

    Ill explain more later.

    Hey Luf, Im sorry man!

The way you revised it, lets just go with that...

50 possible points for the catagories of

    Total KO's
    KO %
    Win %
    Head to Head record
    Featured Fight record
    Current Ranking

and a 25 point bonus for being the peoples champ

The only change is taking away the all time ranking as points.

    Thanks Luf :good

(oh, and if you dont have time to do this man, I understand)

Lucas Matthysse: “Look, I traveled thousands of kilometers in training and flying here for this fight, and I didn’t come to take a picture with Don King. I came to beat Devon Alexander, and I will.”

Devon Alexander: “Matthysse is a rough and tough fighter. I brought the fight out in me because people had their doubts about my abilities as a boxer. The knockdown [first of his career] was a flash knockdown [in the fourth round]. I had to pull it out. I was having flashbacks from my last fight with Bradley, and I wasn’t going to lose two fights in a row. As a matter of fact, I’m never going to lose again.”

Kevin Cunningham: (trainer and manager of Devon Alexander) “I didn’t enjoy watching a rugged, tough guy like Matthysse in there with my fighter. I knew it was gonna be tough. I didn’t want to see my fighter trading with a puncher like Matthysse, but because of all the criticism he took after the Bradley fight, he felt he had something to prove in his hometown. I think when Devon reviews the tape of the fight, he’ll see that he was at his most effective when he was using his boxing skills to the fullest.”

Lucas Matthysse: “I gave it my all. It was a tough fight but I thought I won. Once again, I was robbed. He’s lucky he won the fight. I thought when I put him down, I’d finish him off but I couldn’t.”
