Very competative year this is so far. Every rank is still possible to get. At this point last year, DemoDan was very comfortable ahead in the rankings and never left it.
Hey, Kirk you updated? Oh, wow, hell of a surprise. Uh, let's see I think I'm missing a win and a KO. Edit- Oh, hey Tackle's back! :happy Edit- Oh, and Tackle updated the picks. Edit- Oh, ok, I guess the Roman fight is the only missing fight. Alright, that's fine, Kirk can make the ruling on if that counts or not.
:rofl My picks for next weekend: Danny Green UD Tyson Fury KO Lamont Peterson UD Not sure about Solis vs Romero yet... I'll have to think a bit about that one.. This content is protected KO
Danny Green vs Antonio Traver- Danny Green by UD Just a short little write up on a rare, intriguing, middle of the week fight. On the 20th we have a fight in Australia where Danny Green is taking on Antonio Tarver. This is at Cruiserweight where Danny Green is defending his minor somewhat major title. This will be his 5th defense. He has recently beaten the likes of B.J. Flores, Paul Briggs, Manny Siaca, and Roy Jones Jr. Green is a crude, slugger with limited skills. He started out at 168, should have won a major world title down there, but was robbed twice in Germany against Markus Beyer. Lost to Anthony Mundine, and then moved up to 175, didn't make much noise, and now here he is at Cruiserweight. Taking on "The Magic Man" Antonio Tarver. Tarver hasn't fought since last October against Nagy Aguilera up at Heavyweight, where he weighed 221 pounds. In that fight he definitely looked fat, he didn't look right, but he still had his skills...sort of a bit like James Toney, not a James Toney skill set, but you get my point. He looked fat, but still had his skills. Ok, his resume is good, he's fought the likes of RJJ 3 times knocking the cloak off of Jones' invincibility. Also, Glen Johnson a couple of times, Chad Dawson a couple of times, Clinton Woods, Eric Harding, etc. etc. He's got a good resume. So facing Danny Green is no big deal at all. The big deal in this fight though is that Tarver has Buddy McGirt in his corner. Always, not a good thing, and that the fight is in Australia...home of Danny Green. Tarver has never hit really hard, decent power, but nowhere near one punch KO power. So, beating Green will be tough, if this was in neutral territory this is a toss up fight, but since this is in Australia I have to go with Danny Green. I don't think he KO's Tarver. Tarver has good boxing ability, good defense, and a durable chin. Green KO'ing Tarver would be a bit of surprise, but not really, because Tarver is 42 years old. To wrap this up, I've got Danny Green via unanimous decision.
Tack, welcome back. Don't attack, Jack, but I've gotta look back and see how it stacks when I see that I might be needing one more loss, round my neck like an albatross, ain't gonna be saved by Ross the boss, at any cost, but-...Sorry, that came out rappy. What I mean is, I picked Wolak by kayo. I haven't been here long enough to know if there's a draws-not-counted rule or something? If there is then...Damn straight, suckas, I went 6-0 this weekend! :think I think you might be underselling DG, a little bit here, Brother Double D.
Yea, may'be I am a bit harsh on him. I'm still a bit peeved at him drinking some sort of magic juice against Flores, and of course the farce fight with Briggs.
