**** Kirk's ESB Championships 2011 ****

Well, I've just gopt through the Khan-peterson fight (was busy yesterday so haven't had time to watch it till this morning) and scored it pretty wide towards khan.

Now, before people start with the British thing, i don't support boxers on their nationality, you can check my history if you feel the need and I thought it was a pretty easy fight to score.

I had it:

2. 10-9 Khan
3. 10-9 Peterson
4. 10-9 Khan
5. 10-9 Khan
6. 10-9 Khan
7. 10-8 Peterson
8. 10-9 Peterson
9. 10-10 Even
10. 10-9 Khan
11. 10-9 Khan
12. 9-9 Even

115-111 Khan

I thought most were pretty clear rounds with only rounds 4, 9 + 10 which could have swung.

As for the ref, he wasn't as bad as people have made out. He just wasn't as clear with the boxers as he should have been. If he'd took khan to one side and gave him an official warning there would be no controversy.

 

If I remember correctly (have to check my scorecard when I get home again) I scored it very similar to you. I had it 114-111 for Khan.

I'm not going to complain about the decision though, as I can understand how people may appreciate the pressure that was put by Peterson. Even if it was ineffective. I'd really like to skip the rematch.. doesnt really appeal to me that much. Would rather see Peterson fight Morales in a "unification" or fight Rios when he moves up. Rios/Peterson would actually be a sweet fight. Could look very similar to Rios/Acosta.

A good fight for Khan would a tune up fight in Welterweight against a lesser opponent.. maybe against Hatton (would sell very well) and then move on to fight the winner of Alexander/Maidana.

Had it been on Sat1 instead of HBO, Khan would have won 121-106 on all 3 cards :hey

Don't know much about Handball.... only that it's big in Danmark (and Japan obviously, because everything is big in Japan! )
