Klitchskos are so overrated

The Klit bros are top fighters its just the rest of the division that sucks. It's not there fault they dominate. They never turn down an opponent either. Its a pity they wern't born 10 years earlier

I don't know why but in boxing, ATG fighter seems to be better than any fighter of these days... I think boxing is just the same as other sports. Fighters gets bigger, stronger and faster decade after decade. Let's be honest, V. Klitschko is not a bum & he know how to fight... he got the size and the skills to be one of the great just like Lewis.

+ Think about it. We have 2 Klitschko who clean up the division. Imagine if just one fighter would have beat those contenders; Chagaev, Ibragimov, Thompson, Peter, Brock, Arreola, Gomez & other fighters with good resumes. I think that would be really impressive... just like Lennox Lewis when he beat his mandatory challengers. They will never fight each other so they are like a team who clean up the house. Not so good for us boxing fans but I'd do the same if me & my brother would be world champ in the same division.

 

The Klitschkos are no joke, and are not a step above tomato cans:

a. Wladimir has excellent techique, power and speed. In that area he can be compared to many HW Hall of Famers.

b. Wladimir has one of the best heavyweight jabs we've seen.

c. Vitali has the highest KO% of all time.

d. Vitali has an all time chin.


So Wlad has, among heavyweights, an ATG jab, speed and power. Vitali has an ATG power and chin.

Wlad's record is full of contenders and titlists, although you can argue this era is weak -fair enough, it's true. The same goes for Vitali, though he has less names in his resume. However, most of their beaten rivals -like Arreola or Ibragimov- are better than, for example, many of Muhammad Ali's title defense rivals (Wepner, Bugner, Coopman, Young, Dunn, Evangelista).

I rank Vitali in my Top25 Heavyweights of all time, and Wlad in my Top15 Heavyweights of all time. That ranking is based on this:

a. Toe-to-toe they have some areas in which they have all time greatness. They are undobtedly effective.

b. They are cleaning their division. They last fighters who cleaned the heavyweight division were Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield (both cleaned it between 1995 and 1999).


However, Vitali is past his best and Wlad is starting to leave his prime. So they may add some loses in the future.

 

Vitali for sure beats prime Tyson..take it to the bank:good

Part of Wlad's successful jab is his reach but prime Andrew Golota's jab was just wicked.
