On an Aus site I looked at recently, Wlad is 1.45, Haye 2.65. for those that like odds, that's Wlad 9/20 (on), and Haye 33/20. Ok money for Wlad, not enough for haye. I'll be betting on Wlad at that money. edit. Just put that into a US converter, and that's Wlad -222.22 and Haye +165. What the **** does that mean?? How do yo uwork that out?
I would want odds of at least 4 or 5 to 1 before I even put a dollar on Haye. He's a rank outsider in my eyes. this really is a fight where the odds are skewed by popularity. A bit like the Lewis v Tyson fight. That was a great fight to make money on with people betting on Tyson like it was 1988.
If I was a better I'd take it. 2-1 only? I'm pretty sure the England fan rush will be balanced out pretty soon. Now would be the time to take it if one was a betting Klitschko fan. To be honest one wouldn't even have to be a Klitscko fan.
if i remeber correctly, the odds of the tyson/lewis fight were similar to that of haye/wk. tyson had a much better chance of ko'ing lewis than haye ko'ing wk as he was still very dangerous in the first five or so rounds. but i agree with you. i see this fight as haye +300 or 400. if they fought under these exact same conditions four times, does haye win one of those?
That would be awesome. I would like to get Wlad at -200 or less, I think the current line at -260 is okay but probably a bit of a gamble.
I can see him taking one of four. A good shot, a mistake by Wlad etc. If Haye creates an opportunity, I think he can take it. It's just if Wlad actually leaves the door open to do so. Which I don't think he will. Maybe that's hayes plan, to get Wlad swinging and hope to land something. Because if Wlad plays it safe, he will monster Haye. I think it's Wlad's fight to lose if you know what I mean. Every single thing in this fight is in his favour. I can't see one aspect where Haye has the edge. Maybe, purely, as a fighter. That's about it. Wlad has significant size advantage, better technique, better skills, more power, a better trainer, everthing. chins are about equal (both dodgy at times).
Yes, I bet on Lewis, and also watching the fight at the casino took a few bets with other guys as well. They were happy to take even money too. Most paid up to give them their due.
Haye's brit boxing mates are coming out in force saying he's going to win. Not to mention his mates like McGuigan from sky. Expect more Brits to put money on Haye before the fight.
people betting on wlad should wait the brits always bet a lot based on patriotism and the odds will be better, happens with khan fights as well.
There's also a clear difference between British and international bookies in this fight. If you want to bet on Wlad, find a British one.
At Bodog the moneyline is -260 for Wlad and +200 for Haye. They don't have the prop bets up yet there. Anybody have those? Like what are the odds for each fighter to win by KO?
