I doubt he will come back but I think if he did he would face Joshua again

And why not ? Look at how well he did in the first fight

It’s rare that a fighter can just entirely let go of fighting when still performing at that level

    Lewis being a rare exception

Which one? If Vitaliy, then definitely no. And even not because of the age, but because he is a mayor.
If Vladimir, I wouldn't be surprised, frankly speaking. But I think he could return rather "to beat Joshua and retire again afterwards for good".

As a big Wladimir fan, I want him to stay retired. He's 40 and already one of the better HW's in history. Nothing to prove. A win over anybody won't exactly elevate him much. And hopefully he doesn't need the money.

But I think he possibly had some doubts (whether he did the right thing retiring) watching Joshua vs Takam fight.

P.S. He definitely doesn't need the money. I mean like it's not about money, but the fact that he retired after a loss.

Pretty sure Joshua would've preferred fighting Wlad that night than Takam...

Would've been an easier fight for AJ imo.

I agree. Boxing is better without the Klitchkos.

can you imagine if Wilder beats him? 3 guys in a row beat him when he fought taller guys. that would hurt his legacy.

Doubt if Vlad will come back, but Vitali has been thinking about it. Vitali still works out in the gym, still spars and Bashir said that Vitali would beat Joshua..................Vitali blames himself on Vlad losing the Joshua fight, he told Vlad to back off Joshua when he had Joshua helpless, drunk on the ropes, instead Vlad should have gone ahead and knocked Joshua out, but he allowed Joshua to get back into the fight by the 11th round! Vlad almost knocked Joshua out, could have, but made a mistake by not going for the knockout..................

He was just daydreaming. Working out in the gym and sparring occasionally is good for him, but as I said in my previous post here, he is a mayor. And he will never leave that post at his own will! :) Now it's his first term but he most probably will get reelected in 2018. Not that everybody likes him, but that there are no better alternatives. :)

could be but going for it also leaves him open. And it seems like Joshua was a little faster than Vlad which made the difference. Both guys could punch, so it was a matter of who lands. It really was gamble who won that, with the edge to Joshua.
