On 5 Live one of the brothers says the fight could happen in America with Madison Square Garden as a possible venue or in the Far East depending on the money offered. Why would they want to do this? His manager also thinks Haye/Klitschko is a fight the public want to see more than a possible Pac/Mayweather fight. Don't know where he has got that from.

Funnily enough a mate of mine is convinced the fight will happen in the states if it does. I just can't see it, it might fill 5 or 6000 in Vthe states-yet it'd do 50/60,000 if it happens in germany.

EDIT: Just seen you've said MSG, I imagine that place where Khan fought Malignaggi, the Wamu theater would be the ideal venue for it.

I presume HBO would be interested in this fight, it's whether the money they potentially put up outweights the financial game of having the fight in Hamburg or Gelsenkirchen.

Of course, that is all reliant on the fight happening in the first place.:tong

It would seem ridiculous having this fight in the US. Far east would be good, I'm hoping to be there by the time this fight is made! I think they were probably talking about the middle east though

No chance. The Yanks wouldn't cough up enough money for the fight to compensate the loss of a football stadium full of punters. The fights just not that interesting to them.

Just listened again and they were talking about the Middle East instead of the Far East.

It's wherever makes the most money. Probably one of the Vegas casinos.

    Yeah.

They'll be lucky to do as many as half the PPV sales if the fight was in the States. PPV is where the money is and the Klits know it hence all this 50/50 talk

No chance IMO, Haye and the Klits do well on Euro TV and at the gate. So why have it in the US at a venue which may not even sell out and have the fight at 4am which would have a heavy impact on PPV numbers in the UK?
