hmm sounds good... maybe we could do a list where everyone can sign in who's going to the fight too... :?
65,000 seats.......... Hmmmmm......... I bet the damn stadium is only half filled for "Klit-Haye." Nobody is gonna pay good money to watch from outer space...... Them days went out the door with Joe Louis.......:think Christ, "Ali-Norton" barely drew a crowd of 35,000 fans to Yankee stadium in 1976..... Lotsa space was left over there....... :deal Aside from "Chavez-Haugen" in 1993 at Azteca stadium, that type of scenario just aint gonna happen these days.....:-( MR.BILL:bbb
The worst disaster was "Bowe-Ferguson" back in 1993 at RFK stadium.... The friggin' fight just sold over 5,000 tix.......... Christ, talk about an empty feeling......... GEEZ!! MR.BILL
Well, I sure as hell am not gonna fork over damn good money to some Jew promoter looking to bank big bucks by over-pricing and trying to over-sell the event to a huge stadium..... If I cant get within the first 20 rows for a decent price, I'm not gonna do the live gate.... A friggin' waste of time and money..... In that event, I'd prefer to just sit back in my hotel room and do the fight on cable with ice cold beer and a fresh cigar with a crapper / sink not more than 20 feet away.....:thumbsup MR.BILL:bbb
MR.BILL, Boxing is massive in Germany, over 11 Million viewers tuned in to watch Vitali Klitschko fight Juan Carlos Gomez the other week and Klitschko vs Haye is the biggest Heavyweight Title fight in years. Ticket's will be priced very reasonably, And i think there will be a big demand from British fans for tickets so I'm expecting a sell out.
Fair point but tickets are very reasonable...they're wary of the fact that it may not sell as you pointed out.I think it'll do well over there especially
Well, I am a fan of the "K" brothers..... So I eat up all their action myself..... As for Dave Haye, well, I'm not sold on him at all; and I think he'll be KO'd by Wlad Klit in Germany.... However, Britain and Europe seem to buying into this David Haye bloke.... So, in a sense, I suppose I can envision a packed stadium... I see a letdown happening..... Wlad Klit is in his prime and well tuned by Manny Steward right at the moment, and that spells doom for Haye....... MR.BILL:bbb
I like Germany..... My heritage is Danish / German....... BUT! I hate that goddamn all white boxing ring they keep using for the big fights there........ Damn its hard on the eyes....... I like / prefer an old ring with dark ropes and a gray canvas without all the lettering bull**** scribed...... Cheers...... MR.BILL
good mate..wil it be a sell out in your opnion?what is the buzz like,is it getting a lot of media coverage etc?
Well I'll be there so i hope it isn't a letdown. And as for Hayes chances, he is a big underdog but he's exciting as hell to watch and it's really kill or be killed in this fight. Wlad is a way better fighter than when he got sparked out by Sanders and Brewster but that improvement came at a cost with his style being so cagey these days he just doesn't do it for a lot of people! Wlad's basically a good guy and i have respect for his dominance of the Heavyweight division but i hate his safety first style. maybe this Haye fight might shake the cobwebs out of him a little. Don't like the white ring myself
Fans for yrs have whined about Vegas, Nev. being horrid in the scoring of many high-profile title fights, but Germany / Switzerland is quickly gaining ground there, as well..... I admit, "Holy-Valubum" was a lousy title fight last December, but for Christ Sake, I still had Holy winning the dull encounter with pitty-pat punches...... I only gave Valubum "3" rds at best........... Peace..... MR.BILL
Hmm I don't think so because the stadium is really big with 60.500 seats. I don't think he will make it but I hope so for him. Maybe when all the Schalke fans will come... Schalke has one of the most fans in Germany :happy
