Most historians and pundits never actually lived through the time they are experts on or lived the life they pundit about.

Manny Steward has made some outrageous comments in his life before, like Michael Moorer potentially being one of the top 5 heavyweights of all time. He hypes his fighters. Does that shock you??

I think you mean "warped", but wrapped may work as well.

Farmy has definitely been cooking some brain cells tonight. He's probably going to check under his bed for big black men before he goes to sleep.

I don't think he's racist. I just think it's a complete coincidence that every fighter he loves just happens to not be black. And all the fighters he hates just so happen to be black. It's completely innocent.

You know it's pretty amazing when a proven boxing trainer states something that you don't agree with, you try to disprove his credibility rather than questioning your own judgment.

Have you ever thought that maybe you're wrong and he's right?
Have you ever wondered if you're just viewing the klitschkos with a biased scope?

I just tell it like it is. When I first saw Vlad fight in Atlanta, GA back in 1996 I was very impressed, and also became very impressed with Vitali. They had lots of potential. However, whenever I mentioned them they were called names by those who had never even seen them fight. American media lied about them, about their fights, made things up. How did I know? I saw their fights! Teddy Atlas had so much extreme hate for them it was not funny, and so did Max Kellerman back when he was still on ESPN2's FNF. So many boxing writers would write lies about them. (Max has changed since the Vitali/Lewis fight) Whatever, there is no level playing field. I also would get angry when Tyson was lied about, picked on by government, over and over again by prosecutors. Tyson did not get a fair trail, check it out. No time for so much now, but check it out. I take up for underdogs, such as Hopkins when he was middleweight champion, he testified on the Hill, which took balls. I admired him for that. Hopkins was shut out of some good fights because of boxing politics, but you should know that. ( check out my political views from the past on the Lounge) So, I get called names by Obama haters and by European haters, LOL, catch Hell from both sides! LOL! Still, I do not give a damn about such. What good is life without having the right to free speech and views?

hell, I am not even commenting on what Manny said. I was just questioning your appeal to authority fallacy. Your claim is that because Manny said it, it must be true, since he is an authority in boxing.

that's a logical fallacy. He may have said Vitali is tall. But I wouldn't believe it based soley on the fact that Manny has been involved in boxing for a long time.

****, I don't even know what you guys are arguing about, I just found your logical fallacy so glaring I had to comment on it.

One should not assume thing, I actaully had a very long am career in boxing, and only gave it up to play college football. I would say that my 12 years in the ring and 30 years of following the sport would give me some insight. I argue Steward's statements based on the fact that he often makes crazy comments. Stuff like "Hamed is the most complete fighter of his generation, he can fight in many different ways. I just dont see anybody beatting him for a long time"

If that isnt enough for you how about his comments about Rubin Williams
"Only Tommy Hearns is a better fighter coming out of Detriot then this kid in the past 30 years, he is a world champion in the making. I think in a year he will be one of if not the best fighter in the world" these were the comments a few days before Williams got pole-axed in one by a journeyman. Now Mr Williams has an awesome 29-8 record with 5 ko loses and not one title. Did I mention that the great Steward dropped him after that ONE LOSE. So either he was flat out lying about his thoughts about Williams or he is no better then anyone eles at predicting the future:hi:

No you tell like your warped little mind THINKS it is.

You don't live in reality Farmy. That's a plain fact. Your reality is that every black boxer is a cheater and a disgrace, and every white fighter, it the best ever. That's what the facts are. you are a delusional, racist, whack job of the first order.

The Klitz are the BEST heavyweights in the world, no doubt.

But considering the state the Heavyweight division is in atm,
I dont think its even worth talking about who is the best in
    such an ordinary division.

Hopefully there are a few young Heavyweights that can add
some excitement into the division in years to come.

All these undefeated fighters are all raw and looking for a
quick pay day, realistically they arent much chop, I mean
look at Christobal, he doesnt even bother getting in shape,
and Kevin Johnson doesnt even come to fight.

Division is in trouble and the undefeated fighters looking for a
quick payday should pay their dues and fight some tough old
school fighters to learn some experience - before being
thrown to the wolves, in Kevin Johnsons case - he probably
    needs a heart aswell.

I think he actually doesn't think he's racist...

But seriously, nobody is threatening your free speech. You're just paranoid.

If you didn't have a computer, you'd be babbling all of this to yourself on a street corner somewhere "LOL"ing to your own jokes the whole time.

Calling names is a children's game of intimidation. There is no reasoning with some as I have found out over the years. The truth hurts some, but is does not bother me.

I know you support the wonderful judges from New Jersey, but I do not. Now, call me some more names.............Let's see, let me count them...........
