I'm sorry, but if I was going up against a guy and he kept insulting me and my girlfriend and then the fight fell through and there was nothing in the contract about compensation - then he could basically go scr*w himself.
The problem was that Waren & Chisora gave WLad a time that the hands would be wrapped, and he purposely came in after they had been done, so they had to be cut off, and re-wrapped.
This is baxing, you have to have thick skin, being insulted doesn't mean you should play around with peoples livelyhood man.
I find it hard to believe that he wasn't paid anything, but poking around I just saw that Chisora claimed he either had to be paid to step aside or allowed to fight Vitali instead or else he wouldn't step aside. I suppose it's possible that this Vitali fight came out of a settlement from the contract with Wladimir.
Yes, but when you agree to fight someone, have them go through training camps and promotion, and then **** them off to fight someone else, it's dishonourable, and YOU have directly had a negative impact on their liveleyhood and earnings with your unethical business practices, it's black & white.
First time was an injury - second time it's Chisora's own stupid fault (or his managers) for not realising this stuff can happen and putting something in the contract. It's not like he's a pauper - he's had 3 high profile bouts in a row following the cancellations.
Lol bro I don't see why you can't see why it's a problem If you give someone your word to do something (which includes them going through tough preparation and missing out on potential fights) and you then go back on your word whether there manager should have done something or not You have ****ed up Not sure how it can be seen any other way, regardless of what Chisora has done since, K2 ****ed him around and no fighter deserves to be ****ed around
Wasn't the second bout cancelled due to injury as well, now that I think of it? Listen, Wladimir gave 10000 dollars of his money recently to a former opponent who is hospitalized and can't pay the bills - it's not like these guys are stingy. But if you disrespect someone, you can't hold out your hand for money if you are not entitled to them in any contract.
REALITY CHECK: In any normal business contract of this type, there are ALWAYS non-compliance clauses, which specify financial (& other) penalties should either party fail to meet the contractual obligations. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe than Dough Boy's lawyers would be so incompetent as to not include this. So, either Dough Boy signed a contract without having a lawyer look at it first, or he had no contract. Either way, he's an even bigger moron than we thought already.
No the second one was cancelled so he could fight haye It doesn't matter that he gave a million rubles to a former opponent lol? The title of the thread is 'Klitschkos screwed over Chisora' By agreeing a fight with him making him go through camp promotion And then pulling out of the fight to fight someone else True or false?
