Not really weird. If I wasn't weirded out after meeting Oztriker, than teke and MSTR certainly weren't going to weird me out.

No meth or free African bank accounts, you guys are hard to please. I'm quitting my job soon, if your stupid enough or had a lobotomy you could always go mining like me. Most people we hire nowadays seem to have failed at supermarket trolley collection or McDonalds burger flipping before they arrive on site.
I once got chewed out for reading a newspaper during lunch. The foreman said 'What are people going to think?'
I said "Maybe they might think I'm learning about the outside world, its dangerous but I think I can handle it".

Mining wouldn't be a bad idea at all. How much money do you pick up per week? And is there a minimum time you have to stay there?

No minimum time, people are changing jobs everywhere because the markets so open at the moment. Entry level wise, I reckon new starters are getting around 70-80k a year on a 2/1 roster(2 weeks on, one off).
As you progress you earn more and work less, I'm on a 8/6 roster(8 days on, 6 off) and do better than the previous figure.
Helps if you suck up to the bosses or ones your dad otherwise it may take awhile between promotions. If you have a big mouth like me it will take a lot longer. Much longer...
Have a mate over in Indonesia atm who's clearing over 4k a week! Hoping to head over there in 6-12 months myself.
Its not for everyone but the moneys ok and I really like the time off aspect cos at heart I'm a lazy *******. I'll trade off working like buggery for one week to have the next week off anytime.
