If the money is only to stop every tom dick or harry calling for a fight then why dont they simply return the money to the people they "collected" it from instead of keeping it for themselves? funnily enough I dont think this fair fighting would last much longer if that were the case.

if the money was risked, and they won the fight then the keep the money. They aint a charity. Believe that it is all about the money if you wish, but it aint.
