Funny thing, all GSP has to say is, "I won't lose to a douche nozzle."

You've got to admit, it's really poor trash talk from Koscheck. For a heel he's got no gift of the gab, he works best when he doesn't answer questions and talks bull****, he did that after the Daley fight and I wanted to ****ing lamp him.

The reson I used the word 'Mulatto' is because it is of itself is offensive and also probably not acurate in JK's case, so it emphasises my point about the racism. He said GSP is a French guy when he isn't French, he's a French-Canadian guy. It would be the same as calling a Mexican a Spaniard. Also the inference was that French people are somehow inferior, probably to do with their refusal to join the 'war on terror' which with hindsight seems like the right thing to have done.

It may be prejudiced but it's not racism. French is not a race, it's a nationality.

you can say or do that to anybody except blacks then you become racist, quite simple really.

Theonlyone is absolutely right. "French" denotes nationality/ethinicity. "White" denotes race. Koscheck can rightly be accused of making insensitive comments about GSP's ethnicity not his race. I'm not sure how you've come to the conclusion that pointing out this distinction is tantamount to claiming that racial or ethnic slurs of any type are acceptable.

BTW I've noticed a recurring pattern with you going off on rants about black people that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Bad analogy. The equivalent response from GSP would have been something to the effective of "I don't like losing to Americans." "French" isn't a race. If Koscheck had pulled a Hopkins and said "I don't like losing to white guys," then it'd be a racial issue.

To be clear, I'm not trying to downplay what Koscheck said by taking issue with your characterization of what he said as "racism." On the contrary, I think that attacking a person because of their national origin and/or ethnicity is just as inane as attacking them solely because of their skin color.

Thank you for being born with a functional brain capable of producing cogent thoughts unlike some people.

I wasn't trying top defend Kosheck either. I was simply pointing out that he was being criticized for the wrong reasons.

    See ^^^

I thought we where talking about a black guy saying prejudice things about a white guy. Seemed to be on topic to me.

again I say one thing about a black guy to make a point that it should be held to the same standard that everyone else is held to and you take offense. I am not suprised by you at this point.

First off, I didn't even know that Koscheck was considered to be "black," however you want to define that state of being, until I read this thread.

Secondly, as I've attempted to point out, the comment in question was about nationality (the wrong nationality in GSP's case) not race. I'm not offended by your claim that black people should be held to the same standard as everyone else. I was perplexed by your response rergarding Theonlyone's post where he simply stated the fact that the French aren't a race of people without condoning Koscheck's remarks.

So let me get this staright. Saying 'I don't like losing, especially to a French guy' isn't racist.

You can play the semantic game even deeper if you want to and say that we, black, white, yellow etc, are all part of the human race so calling a black man 'N' isn't racist either.

Racism is a catch all term for lumping together people of a particular ethnic or cultural background. Judaism isn't a race either it's a religion. But if one was to go around attacking jews purely because they are jewish they would be prosecuted for racially motivated assault. Just as you would if you went around attacking French people.

So in in theory you could say that being French isn't a race but it depends on wether you want to be a pedant or not I suppose.
