Cotto would smash this hype job in 7 rounds....Prime Cotto was a fantastic fighter and very proven unlike Kosta.

Kostya was nothing but an average fighter with a ******ed fan base...Kind of like GGG

Cotto fights nothing like Vince Phillips so I wouldn't really use that as a gauge, stylistically.

If we're speaking prime Tszyu, versus Cotto at 140, then I'm picking Tszyu. Cotto was pretty weight-drained at 140 and it seemed to affect his punch resistance and overall abilities. He looked better at 147.

:) I actually watched 3 fights of him this sunday, vs gonzales chavez and hurtado. This is tough, tszyu is all about timing, and cotto loves to bounce a lot. Difficult to choose.

Kosta Tzyu's best wins are a beyond shot 100+ fight Chavez
    and Zab Judah

beating Zab Judah somehow makes you a magnificent fighter?

this overrated guy would get crushed. in his whole career he beat not one A-level fighter near their prime

People forget the power of KT right hand. even sparring partners used to say he hit like a Middle Weight. A big reason why he was avoided by some big names.

    Neither did Cotto.

Cotto at 140 gets knocked out.

Cotto's career in a nut shell:
Multiple weight class paper belt holder
Lost all the best fighters he fought.
Lost mediocre fighters from the beginning to the end, one of them by total decapitation

First time in his career becoming THE champ by beating crippled&old man. Cotto will most likely blemish this archievement by ducking all the top guys and while doing that he wont prove that fight against Martinez wasnt a fluke(like we all saw it was).

Cotto was lucky to have strong background handling his career and massive maricon fan base who quaranteed to money come along when he was fighting. This is why Cotto managed to drag some good names here and there on his record(Case Martinez). My God had he fought his way in to the top he would have been Margaritoed x10. :D

Cotto's victory over shane mosley is better than anything Tyzu ever did. Tyzu along with Hammed are the most overrated fighters of the last ten years.

Awesome match-up. I will guess Tszyu would hurt him at some stage and finish him.

Cotto wasn't always chinny at 140. He only began having punch resistance issues when he began struggling to make the weight. He took Randall Bailey's best shots, who hit just as hard as Kostya did.

Funny how Cotto is regarded as the chinny one of the two, when he was never stopped at 140, nor was he even dropped by a punch in that division (Torres KD was a push). Tszyu has been stopped (Phillips), dropped (Hurtado 2x), and struggled (Urkal) with much lesser fighter than Cotto.
