I think he'd have been favourite against gainer or norwood. He'd be an underdog against any of mab, em, jmm, pac considering the nature of his loss to mab. But 1 victory over a marquee name changes all of that.

Sadly we never saw the fights and will never know for sure.

Of course he should be in because once Judah beats Khan no one will doubt Tszyu's place in the hall! (Sad some people think this way)

Seriously, I know you have to look at dominance but it doesn't mean much if one's competition is pretty weak and one's best win is an overall B-level fighter. He was the man at 140 for some time but he didn't really prove he had all that "greatness" to truly be considered a HOF-er. Then again I like to think like one of the older fans and be strict but that's just me. But then again if any very good fighter with a good fanbase can get in doesn't that make the HOF less exclusive? It should be on greatness, not a popularity contest. Yes Ali was/is very popular but the guy had the accomplishments and resume to be a HOF-er and an ATG.

Getting personal? In referring to you as "completely and utterly clueless"?Previous posts that you've made in this thread justify me in referring to you as such. That's hardly "getting personal".And fi it somehow is,it's certainly not on this level:

And don't delude yourself - you weren't right about anything.I expressed an opinion, you disagreed and then went about doing a **** poor job in supporting that opinion.I atleast made a credible argument to support my opinion, rather than just repeating myself over and over again.

People who contribute their life to the sport should also be inducted. Commentators, refs etc. That is bull**** my friend. For the record i would not be for, or against Kostya being in. If he is he should be congratulated, he was a great fighter.

 That was a joke because I thought it'd be funny to change 'cocks' to 'cucks' to poke fun at your dire "Sweet Poo" name for Pernell Whitaker. I didn't realize it had mentally scarred you to the point you'd go and dig it out to try and make me feel bad! Because I don't.

And FYI, I am still right and you're still wrong, despite your relentless posts on the subject. Of course Tszyu-Judah is a better win than Hamed-Johnson or Hamed-Vazquez, and if you really need that explained to you that's your problem chum!

Commentators are inducted for being great at commentating. Refs are inducted for being great at refereeing. Fighters should be in it for great fighting careers, nothing else.

PS: I also think Tszyu was a great fighter, ability-wise, but I don't think much of his resume at all. Especially not from a HOF-perspective. It's a shame when guys with the abilities of a Tszyu don't manage to get the big fights throughout their careers which would've allowed them to prove fighting greatness. Mere consistency does not equal the acid test of fighting greatness. That's just my opinion. A fighter I enjoy watching very, very much.

I honestly don't think the strength of an era makes any difference.

All a fighter can do is beat on the best guys in their division over a period of time. Successfully doing that alone is hof worthy to me. Dominating for an extended period or across multiple divisions then brings us into elite atg discussions.

I'm just gonna put this out there without my own opinion, but is what tzyu did over the last 5 years of his career any worse than what holmes did over the 5 years preceeding his first retirement?

Dig it out? It was on the second page, you moron.:patsch

The only joke was your failure to detect blatant sarcasm. The fact that you're now attempting to justify your comment by lying is simply embarrassing. What's worse is that you think it's funny.I mean, sarcasm is sarcasm - but if you thought that was genuinely funny, you must have the mental capacity of a six year old.

"I am right" - and so can you be if you repeat the same drivel over and over again.

Hall of Famers don't lose in their prime to Vince Philips. Then quit in a close fight against Ricky Hatton, by far the best fighter Kosta ever faced(which should tell you something about his lack of a resume)

When did Tyszu beat an elite fighter? Mosley, Oscar, Castillo, Mayweather, Forrest? He fought none of these guys

Good point. Larry still gave a future ATG fighter like Holyfield hell while Holmes was well past prime. Tszyu never did that. As far as wins you can have a better argument but I just think Holmes was more tested in his reign no fault to Tszyu. I see greatness when I look at Holmes, not really when I look at Tszyu but I do appreciate what he did and he'd crap all over Khan,Bradley,Maidana, etc. if he were fighting in this time imho.

I'm just saying that I think this whole "he beat b level opponents" doesn't really mean anything when they are considered the best in the division.

Plenty of fighters have done similar and I would vehemently disagree with anyone saying that ever member of the hof has left a greater legacy than tzyu did.
