absolutely he does. Stewart,Czyz,Tate,Maske,Tiozzo and then fighting Hearns and Jones. Tsyzu never fought guys the level of Hearns and Jones, and those 5 I mentioned are exceptional fighters.
Well Holmes had tougher tests from Shavers & Norton which showed his greatness also against Cooney and past his prime against an undefeated Mercer just my opinion. Holmes just showed more to me in his reign not taking anything away from Tszyu. I'm a tough critic so we'll be here all day debating who's great and who's not I just hate the leniant behavior lately in the IBHOF ya know?
Hilarious... and yet, still I was right and you weren't, and acting this butt-hurt about it is really making you look even more stupid.
My question to those in favour of Tszyu being inducted would be this: - if a guy whose second best ever win was against either Sharmba Mitchell or Miguel Angel Gonzalez has proven to be HOF-calibre, then who the hell hasn't? Antonio Margarito has beaten prime Miguel Cotto, Kermit Cintron (x2) and Joshua Clottey. If Tszyu makes it, then surely Margarito does too? The possibilities are endless, if the entry criteria is so so low.
Probably because not everyone has the same personal preferences.Personally,I found him to be a bore to watch. His stalk, probe with the left and follow-up with the right pattern was incredibly repetitive and just not aesthetically pleasing to watch,in my eyes. Also,he made a variety of excuses after his loss to Vince Phillips but never actually attempted to avenge that loss. And,though I don't care whether he is or not,Johnny Lewis would dispute any claims of him being a gentleman. Yes,and that's what, the fourth time you've repeated that exact same sentence, now? And as I told you before, repeating yourself over and over in such a tedious manner isn't convincing anyone. The only one "butthurt"(speaking from personal experience, perhaps?)here is the user who has been responding to my posts since yesterday and still failed to come up with a worthwhile argument.
No argument needed chump. When someone is so obviously wrong and doesn't know their stuff, all you have to do is laugh and point this out. It's beneath me to engage in a debate that anyone with a brain knows is pointless. You're a moron if you think Hamed-Boom Boom Johnson is even close to as good a victory as Tszyu-Judah. :smoke
Yes,you've already established how you don't need an argument to explain why one b level fighter is so vastly superior compared to another. And the irony of you,who is so clearly ignorant and stupid of Zab Judah's career, who knows next to little about what type of level he was performing at the time,is amusing to me.Even more amusing than the sheer idiocy that you've displayed in this and the other thread. Try again, little Kitty.
I haven't been trying for pages, and I have no intention of starting now. If you're really that much of a cretin that you don't understand the difference between a fighter at his absolute peak and a fighter years and years past his prime, then by all means continue to embarrass yourself.
Resume isn't the be all and end all. From a legacy point of view tzyu cleaned out his division and unified all the belts. A man can only fight who is in his division and who are we to claim these men aren't good enough? I can't think of anything more that a career lightwelterweight can do. There are plenty of guys in the hall who haven't matched his achievements imo. Tzyu is easily one of the most deserving of this group and certainly more deserving than hill imo. Hill never ruled his division, he finally unified then lost his next couple of fights so he was never really the boss of his division. What hill did was similar to joe calzaghe but without the losses and without a weak history to contend with.
Kitty, you stopped trying when you made the blunder of claiming that Naseem Hamed was somehow cherrypicking because he had the sheer audacity to sign to fight two top rated fighters within his own division.Since then, you've done nothing but sit back in the comfort of your own shell, with absolutely no intention of ever opening up.You're the Arthur Abraham of all posters,my dear friend. And believe me,I was never under the impression that my recent posts would somehow drag a decent argument out of your lifeless E-corpse.
He did more than Barry McGuigan... Standards in the IBHOF are pretty low already, and by the amount of people going in, they will only get worse. Perhaps it is time to leave it for 20/30 years, and then only induct one person a year, tops?
Hamed and his camp knew those old champions were well past their prime and there for the taking. As did everyone then, as does everyone now. Except you, apparently.
I've never mentioned Virgil Hill :huh I think resume should be the most important criteria. And Tszyu just doesn't cut it IMHO.
I've never understood the excitement about the hall of fame. They let anyone in, pretty much. It's a fun club for old pugs. Famous world champions get to have a lovely day out and have their past glories acknowledged. You don't have to be that special to get in, you never have. This is a fine case for his inclusion: Of course it's "hall of fame worthy." That's just not saying very much.
