Maybe it's just me but I've never seen SK look so perturbed during some rounds when Ward was ripping his body. There was a bit of taming going on it just hasn't destroyed his overall attitude he will still be a steam rolling most fighters.

I bet the same people now trying to pretend like we should all accept the judges decision in boxing as gospel are the same ones who were once bleating how Calzaghe robbed Hopkins or Dirrell beat Froch. One thing I do know is Kovalev should fight in Russia from now on. This is why Wladimir K was such a genius for me... Stayed away from the states for the most part. Fought out of Germany.. The shift in demographics is happening so boxing need to get out of its 20th century mindset and start to open up globally in terms of fighting regions. I also like Donald Trump. Well done America..

My regular username is Liquid Fire. What's your name big man? You think hiding behind a computer calling people alts whilst going under the moniker of a pimp is tough? My real name is Michael Jackson..

I thought Joe edged Hopkins and Dirrel outclassed Froch but lost the battle with his antics....he still showed Froch wasn't as talented just clearly more determined.

He is a bit of a beast yeah but after that fight seems like less of a beast imo. He seems to tire. He's not exactly quick to begin with and becomes even slower in the second half of the fight. His power seemed to fade quite a bit too. Still showed good power (great early on) and good skills and intelligence throughout.

Also factor in that Ward is a naturally smaller man, has been inactive and according to some (I disagree) has a weak chin and is past prime.

The really damaging part of this defeat for SK, is the fact that Ward took his best shot - and very early in the bout - and still found his way back into the fight. Had Ward 'run' all night, avoided all the bombs and got the decision that way there would still be thoughts in a rematch he would get tagged and stopped. SK will go into the rematch knowing Ward has the chin to take a hard flush shot, regroup and come back. Whose confidence, in the cold light of day, will be dented the most after last night?

And I bet, had SK won by a controversial close points decision, you wouldn't have written this post today....

I think you are falling into the trap again of Kovalev just relying on KOs again like so many of the joyboys continually do on here. I suspect you don't understand his mindset or psyche still.. He has now dropped both Hopkins and Ward yet still stayed calm and continued to box well outboxing them both and never getting disheartened. I think its officiating he's disheartened with not Ward.

He didn't win controversially though he won clearly. If Ward was robbed I would have acknowledged it..

Why would you not? What do I gain from lying? I'm certain you're overally critical of anything or anyone that doesn't fit your preferred mold or rationale so why would I add more gasoline to your "liquid fire" by being disingenuous.
