Browne is easily top 15 and would beat Boesel. He’s better than Caparello, Agnew and Mohammedi at this stage. This is a good fight for Kovalev considering who is currently available atm.
Certainly nobody here really believes that Browne has the skill and/or the chin to beat Kovalev. The only reason he's still "undefeated" is due to his nationality and promoter. Kovalev within 5 rounds
Wrong! Ward was ahead on 2 score cards when the fight was stopped. If the fight had not been stopped(prematurely I might add) Ward would have been up 3 points on 2 cards and even on the other going into the 9th. Kovalev would have had to dig real deep to reverse Wards momentum and pull out the win.
Sorry I think I misunderstood on that part. That was then this is now, he definitely should of given hot rod a rematch but I think he has improved since then too. That was an excellent learning fight, how can you can call an undefeated prospect at the time a gate keeper that’s nonsense.
Kovalev has proven to being Ward's superior, it is the referee, judges and the nationality that influenced his wins over Kovalev.
In truth Browne isn't much better than Agnew & certainly lesser than Pascal. People think he's good cos he's undefeated lol he was lucky to get the nod against Kalajdzic who's a fringe contender at best
Kovalev admitted he needs to be serious if he is to become better than Ward. Those words came out of his mouth.
He said its impossible to beat Ward when he has a strong backing and officials on his side. Kovalev is very humble and blames himself for losing to Ward despite the fact that he was cheated twice. His only way to win would have been by knock out, because he wasnt going to get a decision with corrupt judges.
My post was in response to someone else that claimed Kovalev was ahead in the second fight at the time of the stoppage! Which he was not, according to the official score cards. As far as Kov being superior...... please! Ward broke him down with body work and persistance in the second fight! The first fight, Ward impressed with the comeback that nobody before was able to accomplish against Kov. Once gets someone hurt, he takes them out. Not the case with Ward. Do I think Ward won the first fight, no! Do I think him getting a decision was a big robbery, no. Do I enjoy all the crying the Kovalovers went through after both fights........HELL YEAH! LOL.
Damn, you want to feed him to Kovalev directly after being KTFO by Whyte? Besides, doesn't Krusher have some unfinished business at 175lb before jumping up to HW? (this is what happens when you don't use full names for specificity )
This was what Kovalev said after Hunter offered to train him: “I need a new specialist, because I have made it to this point with all I know. In order for me to jump to the next level, and become better than Ward, I need help of a professional’’ He even said it was 1-1 and he wants to fight Ward for a decider because he felt he didn’t lose the first 1. Yes he was not happy the referee stopped it but he also admitted Ward was ‘A’ level form for the rematch which tells you he knows he lost he just wasn’t happy that it wasn’t conclusive.
Lol hell let Lucas get his butt kicked again for disgracing himself by coming in the ring looking like the Michelin man
To be fair Kovalev was ahead on my card and most others before the round of the stoppage. But Ward had all the momentum and enough time to overturn any deficit he might have had at that point; he would have ended up winning a decision had the fight continued.
Unfortunately for Kovalev, your scord card doesn't matter. Ward had all the momentum on his side, but Kov has that fight changing power. With 4 rounds left, it would have been interesting to see how the fight would have unfolded. Very dissapointed with the stoppage.
