That Kovalev (the beast) is dead. That was a good win, credit to him, no disrespect intended. He was fighting scared, had Alvarez took the fight to him no way Kovalev survives. When Alvarez actually decided to throw punches, they landed and Kovalev didn’t like it. Andre Ward would go at him and break him down...he wouldn’t let Kovalev dictate pace and fight how he wants.

Kovalev clearly bear Ward in the first fight anyone who believes those scores are either trolling or don’t know the sport. The rematch Ward improved greatly had a great body attack and wasn’t moved off his line of attack by Kovalev’s jab. Still fight was competitive and I had Kovalev up again until Was landed a bomb on his chin and got a bad stoppage from the ref when quite a few of his follow up body punches went from borderline, to low to clearly low. Reasonably the series should be 1-1 It’s a shame about the first fight because he greatly harmed Kovalev’s legacy. Ward already secured his legacy and really didn’t deserve to win that match. He did nothing for first six rounds got rocked, got dropped and then fought better but not nearly good enough to be awarded 7 rounds!
It's very important to have a strong role model to instill integrity and morals whilst the character is still in development. Sadly there's very little that can be done to help someone that thrives in total depravity once that developmental window closes.

How about this, meet us Kovalev fanboys in the middle, concede the first fight was close and could have easily gone his way, and maybe some of us will compromise and say that Ward go to the best of an unfocused mentally fragile Kovalev in the rematch. Then both sides can be happy. For the record, this is my attempt at the other kind of Moderating.

Kovalev just absolutely hates Ward to the very core. Its so raw and apparent. This is why Ward will always have the mental edge over him.
the first fight to me was 114-113 either way. if people think Kovalev won 114-113 I have no issue because that means 6-6. while there were low blows in the second kovalev fight. he was hurt to the head badly and I don't think he was going to recover probably did the same thing he did in the alvarez I fight.
