Ward could very well win by......head but. Smashed Kessler that way and given that the fight will only happen in Wards back yard with his choice of officials, ring size, ref, catch weight stipulation, etc. etc. Kovalev hasn't got a ****ing prayer.....

Thing I'd like to see is if Ward would get tossed to the ground like Muhamedi when he tries to clinch.

Everybody knew beforehand that it was a mismatch, yet still they're going nuts. I for one thought Kovalev didn't look his usual self and was kind of slow and sloppy.

Mohammedi was a very small LHW. Ward is a big SMW and he is strong too.

How often does he get out hussled in the clinches?

His ring IQ is way above Kovalev's 1-2 style.

What makes Ward slick and Kovalev not slick? Ward is one inch taller than Kov and Kov has a one inch reach on Ward. Kovalev has the advantage in power but Ward has the better skills. You can pick your poison but it's not a cakewalk either way.

There is a bit too much sleeping on Andre Ward going on in here.

This is no easy fight for either man, if it ever gets made.

    What could Ward do?

Kovalev is fast. Ward would go for the clinch. We've already seen Kovalev stepping back when guys try to clinch him (Cleverly) Ward would stumble forward and get smashed

Ward doesnt have the power to trouble Sergey

He doesnt have the stamina to tire out Sergey

He doesnt have the Hopkins chin to take what Sergey hits him with

Ward is a great fighter but he'd be wrecked by Sergey, let alone Artur, who is the most horrific style out there for a clincher like Dre

Ward will outbox out game and outfight Kovalev. To fast to skilled and to smart. If Kovalev could not stop the old Hopkins he cannot stop SOG.

I'd be a little envious too.. since the eastern Euro's are dominating the heavier divisions. Golovkin, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Povetkin, Klitschko

Like always. People see a couple of highlight reel kos and fall for it and the hype. And all of them always end up being outboxed. This would be no different

If he couldn't ko hopkins, ward is even harder to find
