I just can’t see how the cab drivers Yarde has been fighting can prepare him for a champ like kovalev. I got some china being smashed, I don’t think Yarde can take a shot, just a hunch.

I'm not picking Yarde, but I guess if you are 100% sure Kovalev is shot and done you could pick Yarde.

Kovalev is past his best, but he is not yet shot imo. The performance he put on against Álvarez was not something a shot fighter could do.

Yarde is totally unproven at this level. He has been fighting journeymen his entire career, and now he is fighting one of the best LHW’s in the world, and in Sergey’s home country of all places. I have a hard time wrapping my head around it tbh.

Anyway, Kovalev to win by stoppage mid/late-rounds.

Just saw a post and or an interview where Wars said Yarde isn't ready for a fighter like Kovalev. Got to take some worth out of that assessment, especially since he is 2-0-0 against the Krusher.

But then wouldn’t that person also have picked Alvarez. No one can look at kovalevs last performance and say he is shot, I picked him to lose and he proved wrong. I also dislike kovalev so I’m biased in some regard.

7 respondents, of 32, have voted for options besides Kovalev by stoppage.

    ~22%.

We are nearly a quarter morons. Pack this sucker in, we're done.

Kovalev via brutal stoppage inside 6 rounds. Yarde is gonna get annihilated by the Krusher. Anyone even thinking Yarde has got a chance is on some clown ****.

Whilst I agree, I'll love to see this pulled up on if Yarde wins

If i'm wrong, I'll gladly eat humble pie mate. I been watching and following the sport long enough to understand that the better fighter on the night will always win. If Yarde does, then it's his time to shine. Simple.

Can’t see Yarde getting past the jab.

I don't see how he is going to break through the mid range. Kova has excellent abilty to hold opponents at mid range with straight shots. Yarde holds a philly shell type guard, so he was no lead hand protecting from oncoming jabs. Kovalev will have an easy route throwing the straights shots at his chin.

Yarde isn't a high volume worker too. So what is it that he possesses in his arsenal that is actually going to give Kovalev trouble?

Kovalev might come out boxing which he can do better than yarde, unless body shots or a big haymaker lands up top I think Kovalev wins by stoppage maybe a bit later. but maybe in just boxing normal he can put power on shots. McGirt likes to make his guys box more than go for the knockout.

let's not forget that a few months ago most people thought either Kovalev lost to Alvarez again or would score a brutal ko early. neither happened and I was one of the lone people that voted for decision.

I see Kovalev using his boxing skills and win via a comfortable points decision.
