Krzysztof Gowacki vs. Steve Cunningham

Steve fought his guts out, but I think his ceiling has lowered considerably at this point and even though he can make it hard on most guys (at either weight) he probably doesn't have a title winning effort in him anymore unless he lucks out and lands a very weak paper champ in the ring.

He should go for some low-hanging fruit to go out with an easy W at home in Philly. The undercard of Bernard Hopkins' own swansong in that very city in June would be perfect...and would come just weeks before Cunningham's fortieth birthday. He would then be able to retire saying the only calendar year in which he did nothing but lose was 2008 (and that was considered by many to be a robbery despite getting dropped thrice). He posted at least one positive result, counting draws, in every other year in which he lost, going 1-1 in '06, 1-1 in '11, 1-2 in '12, 1-1 in '13, 2-0 in '14, 0-1-1 in '15, currently 0-1 in '16.
