Wlod jabbing to the body, more aggressive now. Palacios shimmies on the outside, and starts getting his own high jab going. Wlod is trying to time him with a big right hand as Palacios ducks forward to throw his own. Wlod is staying in front of Palacios now, walks him to the ropes and puts a few punches together, clipping Palacios on the back as he bows and slips. Wlod is landing from mid-range when Palacios opens up. Wlod blocking a lot now, waiting and biding his time. Palacios keeps walking around the perimeter. Lead jab/hook from Palacios. Wlod blocks a 1-2 and nearly plants a big right hand on Palacios' chin. Trash talk after the bell.

Better round for Diablo.

Round 4

Wlod is coming forward very cautiously, pawing with his jab. Palacios just moves around freely, watching. Wlod thrusts a low jab, but Palacios strafes out of its way. Hook-2 combo by Palacios, mostly crashing into Wlod's gloves but holding him still momentarily. Body shot combo by Palacios, who even has time to slow down and adjust his trunks before Wlod can close the gap on him. Wlod blocks a right hand but is forced to take a step back. Palacios throwing the 1-2 and circling left with a wide berth for Wlod. Body jab by Wlod, Palacios slides along the ropes and gets past him. Wlod lands a couple of jabs and the crowd gets loud for a moment. Big right hand from Wlod misses and they clinch up, more noise.

It's almost like he's trying to reinvent himself as something he's not (a tactical, patient boxer) especially for this match-up. :think

He should be unleashing hellfire on the Wizard, as is his trademark.

 

Round 5

Slapping 1-2 by Palacios as he circles left. Wlod starts to close in on him and Palacios hops outside and bounces around in a few different directions, up on his toes. Wlod stays at arm's length and paws with his jab. Lunging right to the body by Wlod misses. They jab together and both flinch, both dangerously close to taking leather between the eyes. Palacios is turning Wlod and blasting him with quick flurries with Wlod trying to time him. Palacios getting the better of the exchanges but the crowd reacting to everything Wlod does. Jab by Palacios, blocked. Wlod just standing still doing absolutely nothing. 4 punch combo by Palacios backs him up. Wlod follows, and has a jab blocked. Palacios lures him toward the ropes before skirting off to one side, getting Wlod's feet crossed up by quickly changing directions. Nice quick straight combo by Palacios coming forward.
