Pulev & Dinu are pretty similar style-wise. Sometimes that makes for a particularly-boring fight. Dinu is better than he's given credit for around here. He never hooked up with a good promoter when he was based in N. America so he went back to Romania and took a job training policeman over there. Pulev is kind of "no man's land", himself, now that Sauerland's Russian money connections have dried up. At least for the moment.
He was outboxing Miller until Miller found the range on him. It was over pretty quickly once Miller did.
Dinu looked good against Miller. With the ideal camp, coaching, conditioning etc, Dinu might have pulled it off and evaded Miller for 12 rounds. If he's down to take another big fight, he might show up in better condition. But a big underdog against Pulev. If Pulev wasn't confident he wouldn't risk this fight.
He looked OK early on, he clearly has some ability but in that final round he looked to be tired, Miller never allowed him to rest and with Dinu never going beyond 6 rounds he clearly was starting to gas. Pulev won't put as much pressure on as Miller and will allow Dinu more time to breath and catch his breath but I still think he may not have adapted to the pro game and gained the stamina required to fight a full 12 rounds. Pulev should win a clear UD or late stoppage.
I respect Pulev's ability - but he's beatable. Kubrat's right hand is dangerous. His left hand? He'd be better off wearing a sock puppet on it than a boxing glove. Because then he could at least use that hand to keep his opponent entertained.
Dino quit against Miller. I’d be surprised if he beat Pulev. Pulev is about as strong willed as they get.
Pulev might have to wait until he's 40 to get another title shot. He should have had another one by now
Dinu is also a Joshua sparring partner so he was going to have skills. miller is basically just like Breazeale he will wear you down and once you are hurt its usually over. One thing about Miller you can tell he's a very good finisher ,maybe top 5 right now ?
