I think Manfredo is much more than a clubfighter...hes beaten a couple solid contenders so far, and Roach has improved him tremendously. I think not having Roach in his corner against Calzaghe gave him no chance, when he already had a miniscule chance.

Jeff lost one fight and you want him to retire? Thats ****ing stupid.
Roy Jones schooled Clinton woods, Clint is now ibf champ at 175, who says Jeff can't come back and pick up another title? His last fight was close because he had a very badly injured shoulder, he may still have a few mental demons from the Calzaghe fight but I would like to see him fight again so I can evaluate his performance before calling on him to retire.

I think Lacy lose this one, Manfredo will outbox him and maybe even tko him late. Lacy look like a tank but his chin is not like that.

I feel that if Peter Manfredo is going to wait again until his opponent punches himself out, he may realize that the fight was halted in the day after - Lacy as Manfredo's Grim Reaper.

It's a win win fight for Manfredo, he can't possibly get any uglier and if he gets KO'd he can cry premature stoppage.

I like Lacy and think he has taken a lot of unfair stick just because he lost so badly to JC. Lacy is a world class fighter, no doubt, and I'm convinced he'll be back to his devastating best very soon

this is a decent choice of opponent and it will let us no if lacy is back or if he has been mentally and physically scarred.

he will have ring rust but he would have walked through manfredo 3 years ago.

No doubt. I don't care how soft Calzaghe "supposedly" hits. I've never seen someone take as many punches as Lacy did in that fight.

Lacy's corner should have prevented that from happening by stopping the bout early. Maybe around the 9th round. That's when the real damage started to occur.

But they didn't, and now we may have a ruined fighter (and perhaps even person, although hopefully not).

I said they should've called it after the 7th but I can agree with 8th or 9th. It was really pointless by the 10th round. Rocky Balboa never took that much punishment!
