He holds a belt at junior middleweight. We are asking him to fight a junior middleweight. Completely unreasonable, eh?

By the way, it isn't a testimony to anything. We wanted him to fight Pacquiao who is smaller, but he is too afraid to do that to.

Your post is made like you are trying to dismiss Lara. Maybe that's really your opinion, maybe it's not, but Imo I don't see Floyd picking Lara apart.

There's one very important thing that Lara has over Floyd, and that's a reach advantage. Lara's reach is 75' and Floyd's reach is 72'. If we add Lara's style on that, there's no way Floyd could force Lara to be the aggressor, at least from my point of view. Mayweather would have to go forward and that's what Lara wants. Now, Floyd is smart enough to know that he can't go there and rush in Lara's shots so it would be very interesting to see what would happen.

Floyd moves faster and probably hits faster too, but it's not a big margin and Imo wouldn't be enough for Floyd to get inside without being countered. Lara's feet movement is better. Floyd would be able to defend from Lara's shots as well, so I see it as a chess match without much of an "action".

If Floyd chases Lara, he gets countered all night long. If he boxes from the outside, Lara has the edge Imo. Plus the Cuban is a southpaw so Floyd would really need to figure out what to do because the shoulder roll would be less effective.

In my opinion Floyd's boxing skills would be put on the hardest test yet in this fight. He never fought someone like Lara in his career. It would be very interesting to see, perhaps not so interesting for the people who prefer an explosive action.

If Mayweather has no intentions to fight at 154 again then I think that he should vacate his titles, because Imo Lara is the man to beat in the division.

Floyd's right is too good, he would win because of his speed. But I agree that if anyone can do it, it's Lara.

Well I think Lara is in with a good shout but I wouldn't write Mayweather off. Lara has done more than Canelo did toe arn his shot but somehow I feel Lara will probably never get his shot against Mayweather or Canelo.

said this for a while you can all tell me IDKSAB but imo lara beats him.
lara can fight dirty , can you see him letting floyd get a free shot on him like he did when ortiz roughed him up a little ,
imo floyd would not want to engage and try to pull off a mater class in defensive fighting which against lara i could not see him doing

    No, he does not.

But it'd be a boring, frustrating fight.
